Sometimes my gear indicator will flash between 1-2 and 2-3. Changing oil does not seem to help. Is there an adjustment for this? Thanks, JN

Mine has been acting up as well but from what I understand this seems to be a common problem and the remedy doesn't seem to be a permanent fix. I have about 35000 miles on my Vision now and I've been expecting this. It is a bit of an irritant but the gear indicator isn't of any real imprtance to me so I won't be losing any sleep over it. If someone does know of a permanent fix I'd certainly be interested.

Yes, it is 'normal'.
The problem is fixed on the 2012 models, but to me the fix is worse than the problem. The display is more accurate and doesn't change, but it doesn't display the gear when you pull in the clutch. So when sitting at a light you can not tell what gear you are in.

thanks for the replies. My only problem is now that I am use to it I want it to work. It somehow becomes a crutch and I look at it just as a reminder of exactly what gear I'm in. Maybe the boys at the Vic factory can figure it out one day.

don't confuse what many of us of come to understand as "normal", take it to the dealer for a resolution. I think at one time there was a bolt problem inside the housing and replacing it made it more stable. Also, you don't say what year you have, but the '08's I believe are more prevalent. I agree with your "crutch" statement and made myself accustomed to what the gears feel like because frankly I don't have time to look when trying to manuever through traffic.
