Here is my situation, my 2008 VV Tour has just over 39,000 miles second owner all maintenance has been performed and has been running like a top for past 18 months and 13,000 miles since I have owned it. It has just started to sputter once or twice as popped for first time as I was pulling into garage tonight, any thoughts?

I was also wondering if anyone has ever used a fuel treatment to clean fuel injectors?

Appreciate any feedback, oh yeah evrything is stock and use high octame gas, however I did fill up and a different gas station on this tank and that's about when it started come to think about it.

Peace,

I'll bet it's water-I know what time approximately, the tanker drops @ the station I use so I'm either in before or wait about 3 hours after to allow all the water, crud, dead birds and whatever to settle out.
Get a turkey baster and draw out some fuel from as far into the tank as you can reach and transfer it into a clean, clear glass jar and let it sit a few minutes then look for water @ the bottom. About all you can do is draw out as much as you can and refuel from your 5 gallon can. The gas should burn with no problem in your car or truck where you've got more piston area to deal with any water.

Right on SYNSTR, appreciate the idea, what about using any type of fuel treatment have you ever used in Vision or heard if it is recommended or discouraged?

You can't go wrong with SeaFoam.

I used to use seafoam, etc. a while back, but haven't felt the need any longer. The symptoms you describe is actually normal for an '08 Vision, sadly.

It might not be related but...check your battery terminals and Circuit Breaker terminals to make sure that they are tight. I check mine and one was only finger tight on the battery. This can cause stalling.

If they have it your area you might try Lucas fuel additive. I use it in both bikes and both cars and it works well for me.

Seafoam or HEET altho HEET might be tricky for you to find there in Ahhhnieland as it's used in the Winter in really cold places (like my second ex's heart), one pint to a tankful to displace water that can and will freeze in the fuel system. Bought and used a lot when I lived in Alaska

seafoam, yuck, used it once cause I had some and bad experience. However, Chemtool B12 has treated me real nice. In addition to the Lucas stuff.

Makes me think of spark plugs, I have to change mine out every 15,000 for optimal running. Speaking of comining up on a change.

+ one on the Sea Foam. Have used it in all the bikes I have owned and they've all run great. Never a problem.

first off check battery go to hardware store and buy two star washer 1/4 size should work just fine.
With ethonal in our gas thats lile 10% alcoholic witch should clean just fine.
Popping comes from unburned gas in the mufflers and you get a pop. Vic doesn't have the best ecm so we get popping

Been divorced from 'the ankle' (call her that because what she put me through makes her 2 feet lower than that other feminine physical attribute) for about 12 years, so it's down to I really only hate the groiund her shadow covers. Found out she's not doing well, suffering with ALS, my reply 'Tell her to get worse quicker'.

At least you're not carrying a grudge! LOL

BTW-a drop of Seafoam behind each ear and I'm good to go-keeps me from fart-er-popping

+1 on the Lucas fuel additive. Used it in every thing I have ever driven. If you go to a truck stop and but it by the gallon it is a lot cheaper.

Ride hard, ride fast, but above all ride safe and free...

PCNova,

I am humbled that you would call me out in the title of a post. Thanks. But there are many here, as you can see from the replies above, that are willing to help.

From all of us......Your welcome.

Ride Safe

P.S. My ex-wife is not totally worthless. She can always be used as a bad example when discussing judgment and morals.

Yes, radioteacher but you are one of the patriarches of the site, willing to sing the Victory song, and give a little cheerleading, with frilly skirt of course. So, you get the complimentary shout-out, it's like a nod to the old guys in the club, who've seen it, done it, got the t-shirt. Much like th ex's mentioned above.

So, just let me be one of the one's to also give you a tip of the hat, for what you do for the rest of us Vic riders. Oh, Yeah, since your feeling good about the commentary, when you get home this evening go ahead and play a little tag with that Scotch above the fridge you've been eyeing, you deserve it.
