Hey, heard about this product and apparently Eagle Rider (A national ?? motorcycle rental company) is using it in all it's bikes. Was wondering if anyone was using it, tried it, heard good or bad about it. Seems like a worthwhile product! If you are not familiar you can google it and find their web site.

I have heard of it. My feeling is this..... A tire plug is a easy
Fix that has never let me down ( needed them 2 times on my
Motorcycles) they are cheap, readily avail, work for the life of the
Tire, and don't cost you a arm and a leg in labor that many shops
Will charge to clean the ride on off your rim before they reinstall
Your next tire. Just my 2 cents

I have been using it for over a year now. I have 11.5k miles on my current set of E3s and so far they are looking to top 15k.
Always a smooth ride.
I added an external (the kind that screws on the valve stem) Pressure monitor system a few k back and the chemical hasn't seemed to interfere with the TPM hardware at all.
I haven't had to add any air this year.
I can't attest to the puncture seal qualities because I don't know if I've had any.
I like it enough that I will use it again when I do renew my rubber.

glight, seems it has worked well for you. No vibration issues or wheel balance issues?

I plan on going trying ride-on this time. I need a new front tire and will order the ride-on the same time i order a tire. Hope it is as good as it sounds.

I installed this in my tires 500 miles ago. Nice sooth ride. Do not know if it has plugged any leaks but that's the point. Tire plugs are great but you need a compressor if the tire is low.this is what made me chose the product. No extra equipment to carry. The things it won't seal ,tire plugs won't seal either.

Looks like it will save you from getting dynabeads. Works as a balancing system as well.

No negative issues of any kind. I was pleased enough with the product that I added them to my web site as an associate.

I have read comments about people concerns for cleaning the rims when changing tires. I haven't changed tires yet, so I can't address the concerns. Before I added the product to my bike I consciously ignored all those reports as negative hearsay because I could find I first-hand report of someone actually having the problem with 'Ride-On'.

Ride-On should not be confused with 'tire repair' goo like 'fix-a-flat'.

Ride On is a "Sealant/Balancer", and comes with no aerosol properties. It comes as a liquid in a plastic bottle that you squeeze the appropriate amount into your tire.

Anyway, if it will get me 15k out of these E3s, I'll give the guy $20 a rim to clean them if necessary.

My uncle uses Ride-on in his tires. Ironically, he also runs E3 tires on his 2001 Goldwing. He's on his second set of E3s after about 22,000 miles on the first set...including two-up trips to Alaska and California on the same set of tires with Ride-On sealant in them.

Here's his sales pitch to me (not that he's selling me anything, he's just looking out for us)... True story...one of his trips to Alaska (he's done two), another rider has a flat in the middle of nowhere. They don't have what it takes to fit the flat within the group of riders. So the broke-down rider calls a tow truck to get his bike, and take it to the nearest cycle dealership to install a new tire. Several hours later, bike gets picked up, taken to dealership, but dealer doesn't have the correct tire size. Order tire and have it shipped in. Tire arrives in two days. Dealership installs new tire and broke-down rider is on his way. Total cost for tow, tire, shipping, and install was about $1,100 in Alaska. Granted, it's Alaska, where milk is about $10/gallon. But could $40 of Ride-On saved him $1,100? Dunno. Do you want to risk it? Your call...

I wonder what will happen to the tire balance should one decide to make a high speed run. I remember a similar product from about 1985 that dealers around here were pushing. The videos of this "Ride On" stuff look exactly like the sales literature that the stuff back then was promising. One of the dealers even had a wheel and tire filled with the stuff and mounted on a jig so that you could rotate the tire. He would have customers poke an ice pick into the tire and watch the stuff ooze out and seal the hole. Very impressive. It was claimed to automatically balance the tire as you rode too. My buddy bought some and put it in his tires when he got home. Everything was fine until the day we got into a little high speed contest. All of a sudden, without warning, his tires went into severe unbalance. It was so bad his front tire was actually bouncing off the ground. I was right beside him when it happened. We went home, broke the tires down and cleaned the stuff out, then went back to the dealer and he demanded his money back.

This "Ride On" stuff sure looks EXACTLY like what we tried back then. Same sales pitch and everything.

Somebody put some in your tires and run 'er up to about 110 MPH and report back...............................

Yeah, we go that fast sometimes. I prefer my tires to stay on the ground when we do.

Ronnie

I've had it up to almost 100mph and was as smooth as ever. I was running the dynabeads. When its time to change the rear I will be putting ride-on in the rear also. I've riden about 600mi now with ride-on int the front.
So far good product and would recommend to any rider.

Just bought a new fron tire today. The cycle shop told me that's what they use. I decided to give it a try, and that was before I saw this thread. Tire will be in Tuesday, so I can't comment on it yet.

I'll run it up ti 116 for you as soon as I scuff my tire in.

My deal doesn't sell dyna beads any more. He says they don't work and there a mess when you break the bead.
He sold me ride-on he said no body has bad mouthed it and the mechanics have complained. The shame of it is you have to buy two bottles for the read $14.95. Good thing deal is close to me.

I have been using RideOn for about two months now without any issues. Got into a pocket of high speed movers on US-95 and spent about a half hour around 95-100 without issues of any kind. Glad to use a product that works. By the way the charts do not reflect the true amount you use if you go without weights on the rims. Pulling the weights off they recommend an additional 25% more product.
