, WI | I'm working on the IBA paper work. A lot of receipts. The numbers based on the receipt time - 2047 miles in 34 hours and 16 minutes. The SS2000Gold. 1521 miles in 23 hours and 54 minutes. ONLY 6 MINUTES TO SPARE!!!!!!!! Based on receipt time and that's what counts. The BBG1500. WOW that was close. 1080 miles in 18 hours and 56 minutes - The SS1000. The ride home. |

Didn't ride it Iron Butt style last year but I did go up through Durango and across Wolf Creek Pass on my way to Barstow. I came across a couple that was from Wisconsin, he was on a 'Pin, she was on a ricer cruiser, I on my Vision. Beautiful country and vistas. There's also the waterfall, I really enjoyed my time through there.From there on out it just wasn't real pretty. It was hairpin county and switchback city. One of them looked like a can full of worms, another looked like a malaria germ. Right in the middle of the whole damn show was a real nice tunnel now wouldn't you know. Sign says clearance to the twelve foot line but we had chickens stacked to 13-9. We shot that tunnel at a 110 like gas through a funnel or eggs through a hen... took that top row of chickens off slicker than scum from a Louisiana swamp...... sorry... you got me channeling some CW McCall there. I haven't been over Wolf Creek Pass in 30 years. |
