Spirit Lake IA "Birthplace of Victory Motorcycles" | Planned quite some time ago to ride our bikes from Spirit Lake, IA to Red Wing, MN with some friends. What we hadn't planned was 44 degrees, 20 - 30 mph winds and rain . . . All day rain. Like the true adventurers we are, we soldiered on.
My wife and I on Vision with excellent helmets, great rainwear, heated grips and seat found the ride not too bad. Our friends, one on a 800 cc Honda and her hubby on 1300 cc, were not quite so comfortable. No windshield, poor rain gear, shorty helmet etc. Long trip for them, but we made it
I'm glad I have the Vision and thanks to advice on boards, good gear . . . Makes all the difference in the world.
