I have Ness pipes on now, bike is cammed and ECU upgraded by Llyodz. Here is the question which sounds better/Beefier ?? For sitting at idle, normal driving, hiway speeds, and heavy throttle acceleration.

I have installed a set of thrush pipes but have Honkers on my bike. If you are looking for the beefier sound, It's the Honkers. Thrush setup sounds good but a little more tamed and subtle. If anyone has more experience with the Thrush, chime in. I'm sure tone changes as they break in, I have only heard them when brand new

Thrushes are deep, but not loud. I have not noticed a difference in 5000 miles. The main factor I see, is what kinda tips you want. Thrush will take any generic aftermarket tip. I'm running an LED lit up afterburner type. The honkers will take the 'made for Vision' tips only.

yep, Thrush is a car-like muffler while the Honkers are a bit more gutteral in sound a la motorcycle...
