Valdosta, GA | You can get 4 GB Nanos on ebay for right around the $100 mark. I think thery're $140-$150 in the stores. The 8GB Gen3s are $185 at Sam's and I right at $200 everywhere else.
If you can get a Gen 2 on ebay, you will not need to update the software. If you end up getting a Gen3, though, the software update will be necessaryto correct the Mute issue. It seems most other issues were related to a faulty batch of cables.
