I wish that Varyder was here to tell us if he sold his (VDO) Vision Dash Organizer to CaptNemo! Inquiring minds want to know!

I had a feeling within the first couple of posts the Cap'n made but when his profile had the name Allen it just made me go "Huh.".  He's our own Jason Bourne.  He has traded the Bentley for the Nautilus.

I'm curious overall how Victory would feel about this and sent my odometer pictures to Region 2000 in Lynchburg, my closest dealer, to check into this. If it is the same vendor, most likely this affects all year models, then again, it may just be mine.

Maybe you don't feel it is significant, but the odometer should remain a reasonable level of accuracy and having it roll back automatically at an unknown degree could mean something else is affected. It is not the matter of the miles lost, but the fact it does it at all means their is a defect that needs correcting in mind.

I think it is just some sort of computerized averaging, rounding up or rounding down going on.
The USA government is pretty strict about the odometer being correct, not so much about the speedometer.

Saying that, my speedo (2011 Vision) is pretty much spot on!

Hey, I was just wonderin': Who else has 86,000+ miles on their scooter besides CN? Hmmm? There's getting to be a lot of high mileage guys out there, apparently, which makes me feel better!

Just Coinkydinks.... I think a lot of us big apes have copied that Varyder fella - you know, tassles, dash bag, 86,000 Miles, stuff like that. Just coinkydinks is all.

Some more follow up on this issue. It is happening as frequently as I suspected. The odometer will roll back when I shut the bike off, twice today, I watched it when I turned off the ignition switch and the odometer would momentarily display, it would go back one mile.

my response from the dealer on this issue. Doesn't make sense:

Called Polaris and they said the speedo records in whole miles only, if the reading at time of shutdown is not a full mile it drops back to the last mile recorded. thanks mike.

Question for you: Do you care that the odometer doesn't read the correct mileage???

Cap'n, I do not have that problem with mine. I watch my mileage faithfully, recording it in a log that I'm keeping.

thanks for letting me Luke, I'm a little taken back that the dealer implies that Victory says this is normal.

My Odometer clicks off miles unevenly? At 65mph it akes anywhere from 25 to 55 seconds to run a mile? So I feel I am getting jipped on my miles and not to happy bout it honestly.

I think the Cap'n is on a time travel, he's the most interesting man in the world; he was the inspiration for "Benjamin Buttons".
