I am amazed at Man314's chart. KevinX -- should all us touring riders needing power from 2-3,500 rpm be looking at stock mufflers. Any reports of how a cammed bike with plate and VFC runs with stock pipes. I almost would be willing to sacrifice peak HP for a bike that would have 115 ft lbs down real low.
Is MAN314's bike way off the norm or are these numbers close to expected.
The magic number for harleys if you want them to pull hard is 60 HP at 3,000 and MAN's bike has it or very close.

The first thing everybody does is swap pipes. Is this a Harley mentality? Are these bikes capable of delivering good numbers with the stock cans? Probably not many people putting on the VFC, plate and IAC valve and leaving the stock pipes so my question is how far off the norm is MAN314's bike? Is it a freak? Were the original dyno numbers for the intake plate done without the VFC? The reference in the install sheet says what to expect from the plate on its own, and does not mention adding the fuel controller.
Kevinx, you mentioned awhile back about doing cams on a bike with stock exhaust. You said you were suprised at the result? Did that bike ever make it to a dyno?

One other thought. The stock Vision will go 120 MPH. Since dyno's have become the norm that is how performance is judged. But top speed is the ultimate judge on power, it is as real as it gets. It would be interesting to see how our different performance mods compare on a flat out run without the rev limiter. I am not talking 1/4 times, that is someting totally different but top speed .
