Any one have one of Lloyds port jobs done ?? If so, what were the before and after flow numbers ?? How much power did it add to your motor combination ??

Well I talked to Brea at Lloyds today, of course 3:30 PM on Friday afternoon isn't the best time to get specific info about head porting but was told next week they'll be able to fill me in on flow numbers...........

Lloyd sent me an email: here's the figures, a stock casting Freedom head flows between 265 and 275 CFM @ 28" pressure, that equates to around 160 CFM @ 10" pressure. That is a good number, Stock 96" Harley Twincam heads flow between 105-110 CFM @ 10". The Screaming Eagle big valve heads around 125CFM @ 10". Lloyd has built some 160 RWHP 116inch freedom motors and at that level the heads would have to flow around 220CFM @ 10" and that is an excellent number. To get those numbers out of a 2 valve head the ports would have to be raised around 3/8ths to 1/2 of an inch and the the intake floors really flattened, plus at least a 2.040 intake valve, at least $1500.00 and maybe $2000.00 for the complete job. The 4 valve heads have quite an advantage, especially at lower valve lifts AND not nearly as much work is required to get BIG flow numbers as compared to Harley heads. Very impressive.

Reference: 10" pressure equals 28" pressure X .598 AND 28" pressure equals 10" pressure x 1.67 ( for motor heads )..........steve

I have a 2003 Vegas that I run the stroker crank in and a set of Lloydz pistons in it to get 110 cu. inch displacement. Lloyd ported and polished a set of heads up for me a few years ago and he put the big valves in it also at the same time. I can't remember the flow numbers as it was a while ago.
I can't say how much the heads changed it as I went from a 106" to a 110" displacement at the same time.
When I had the 100" displacement with heads that were ported here in Winnipeg MB. and the stock valves in it it was doing 110.6 HP and 111.8 Ft. Lbs. of torque.
When I had the 106" displacement (stroker kit) with the same heads that were ported here in Winnipeg MB. and the stock valves in it it was doing 118.8 HP and 114.5 Ft. Lbs. of torque.
After the work done by Lloydz and the 110" displacement (bigger pistons) I dyno'd 129.1 HP. and 129.7 Ft. Lbs of Torque.
I haven't met a Harley yet that I can't beat, but I am not saying there isn't one out there. lol

That should be close to 170-175CFM @10" that pretty damn good heads on a street engine. Plus 129/129 you can't beat that for a HP/Tq street combo. There are some 150HP 124" Harleys out there, but not many.............Chances of running into one other than at a AHDRA dragrace or dyno shootout is about 20,000 to 1.

All of those dyno numbers are with a set of Santa Rosa Vee Twin swept pipes on my Vegas.
I know that I could jump the torque a lot and probably not loose much HP if I put a Bassani 2>1 Long Megaphone set up on, but i like the look of the Santa Rosa's and with 129 Ft Lbs of Torque all ready, traction is more of an issue than looking for more torque.
I know of a Harley goo roo up here that is running a 124" with loads of HP, but we never have had a chance to hook up to see which one is better as he is always encountering major heat issues, last I heard he is taking it back down to a 110".

You are right big V-twins, either Vicory's or Harley's are very pipe sensitive when getting big HP numbers. Especially baggers if you want to keep the muffler on each side look...............
