Wanted some healthy sounding pipes for my Vision. I installed a pair of "Thunder Sticks" made by "Thunderheaders". These are the baddest sounding pipes I've ever heard. They make my H-D Iron-head with drag pipes sound weak. I've read on Google that the company is owned by the "Hells Angels MC". I do know that Sonny Barger has them on his Victory Vision. They leave a bit to be desired on fit & finish, but they sound bad-ass and increase torque. If you want to wake your neighbors, these are the pipes. I f--king love them! You can buy them online for $560 which is cheaper than "Stage-1" or Ness pipes. I had "Stage-1" pipes before. There is a sound clip on You-Tube, but it doesn't do them justice. Sounds like a blown & injected 426 Hemi with open headers!!!!

I've found that the pipes do backfire before the motor warms up. I get an occasional "POP" when i shift. Sounds like music to me. Victory bikes are made to be ridden hard and I resemble that remark.

With usual Lloyds upgrades ( Cams, IP, PC 5 ) and the CFR slip ons my Vision made 155.5 HP and 117.9 Ft lbs after a Lloyd dyno tuning under the shade tree at Daytona. The point? The CFR's move adequate air to not hold back the engine and they sounded great, even Lloyd and Adam liked the way they sounded and they hear every type of pipe on the dyno..........

everyone has their own taste so you have to just put your ear to the pipes yourself....me.....I have heard CFR's, Atoms, sl1 and sl2's. I really enjoy the note of the t-sticks. would make the same decision after hearing all the choices, they perform very well. BTW, i do not have any problem talking to my wife when she is on the back, or hearing the speakers on the bike at any speed. But if you want to rap on the throttle the can and do bite. I am running Lloydz cams, intake, VFC, and 6400 rev. have yet to get the dyno for the setup, but I am die'n to.

I really like the CFR exhaust. I am running Atom Bombs on my vision. They are by far the best bang for your buck.

not by far they are 200 bones...t-sticks were 550.00 but was able to sell my S1L1's for 225 making for a 325 net.....so 125 diff is not by far to me.... just sayin

On my post above I mis-typed. I meant 115.5 HP NOT 155.5, I guess ya'll knew that though..................

Anyone have decibel ratings for these pipes? Anyone know what the decibel level differance between the atom bombs and the others? Lastly how does each stack up in performance with LLoydz cams?

Well I like the CFR's on my Vision so much I'm replacing the Bassani 2-1 on my 107 inch RoadGlide with CFR dual mufflers and Vance & Hines head pipes. I hope it sounds as nice as the Vision..................

I am sorry to say the CFR slip ons for the RG are quite a bit louder than the ones on the Vision, they do look great though...............

I wish I'd of seen this sooner too. I can't believe out of all these pipes mentioned (and they are all great pipes by the way) that the D&D's specially built for the Vision (off of my bike none the less) weren't even mentioned?????? These are great pipes guys/gals and offer a well balanced combination between form & function. They are louder than my s1L2 for sure and have a real nice rumble at cruise speed. The big diff is that they have performance off the charts.......IN THE WORDS OF A GREAT JEDI KNIGHT TURNED SITH LORD TURNED JEDI KNIGHT.......YOU WOULD BE WISE TO CHECK THESE PIPES OUT!

Just had CFR's installed on my Vision yesterday and I have to say I am very pleased. While the over all sound level is about the same as my old S1L! the tone is much deeper and gives me more bark when I goose the throttle. These pipes also will keep peace with the neighbors and I do not have to raise the volume of my tunes as I am cruising around.

Bottom Line: The S1L! pipes were like a teenager going through puberty sometimes they hit the right tone but then sometimes they were a little higher than what I liked. The CFR's make my Vision sound like a grown up motorcycle and plus they were only $350.00 because CFR is having a blowout sale because they are working on a complete system for the Vision not just slipons

The CFR's I just got for the RoadGlide are going on the shelf and/or up for sale. They are just too damn loud, even though they look alot like the CFR's on my Vision ( that I love ) they are so loud it not enjoyable to ride. I'm sure I can sell them to somebody who wants LOUD......What a disapointment...........

Prime power, the CFR has a billet chrome end cap that is attached to the muffler body. You reuse your shock heat shield though. See my review of these in the reviews section. I love the sound of the Thundersticks but really appreciate the tune-ability of the CFR and set up right they make pretty good power at low RPM's and come on strong at 2400. Good fuel milage.

Love Stix.. Also installed lloyds cams, rev limiter, air intake and remap of computer. Runs and sounds mean.. 119 hp and 116 tqe with clean curves and increased low end out of the block power, more like a HD.. Based on my research, stix get the best results with these mods.

Good luck and safe riding.

Last pic of both bikes wearing CFR's. The RoadGlide is getting a Vance & Hines 2-1 Pro Pipe, Vision works wonderful with it's CFR system...........
