Hi Guys,

As you know, I've posted some pretty solid reviews here, but they were getting detailed and long and taking up a lot of space. So, I tried something different. I've now had and have ridden my Vision for seven days and have kept an ongoing, very detailed diary on my personal website. I was flattered that I received an email yesterday from the Corporate Victory Webmaster and he's going to be featuring my accounting on the Victory website later this week. Since I'm a member and a huge fan of this site and the quality of the input I received from other Vision owners, I wanted to give you a sneak peek. I'll be continuing the detailed reports for a few more days that will complete a full ten day experience from an experienced rider.

If you would like to check it out, go to www.gadgetguru.com and click on the Victory link.

Please understand that I am not opening a new Vision blog and have no plans to go back to work and enter the blog business. Also, my personal site is adverting free. So there is no financial incentive for me to try to generate hits.

After reading it, I welcome all comments and input - both good and bad. You can place all comments on this thread here on the Vision-Riders site. I have included numerous images of my bike and will be adding more next week after I get my first service and pick up the trunk plate.

You'll also find out my "real identity" and learn that in my previous life, I was a true new products reporter in both print and TV.

I hope you'll check it out and return here for some feedback. The blog may also be helpful to the friends I've made here who live in the frozen North. Hopefully it will answer a number of questions to those who have their bikes in the garage awaiting the warmer weather.

Hi Newfile,

Try again...it's there. The link to the home page is www.gadgetguru.com - you may want to copy and paste the link to make sure there's no misspelling. If you can't it again, here's a direct link to the Vision page: http://gadgetguru.com/Victory%20Vision%20Blog.htm

Las Vegas, Nevada USA baby!
Great stuff PalmBeachRider!
I arrived at my 500 miles on Friday the 15th, and had called for my 500 mile service at the Arlen Ness Dealership here in 'Vegas. They told me to bring it in on Monday. I asked if it was okay if I rode over the 500 miles, 'cause I just couldn't stay home during the weekend! They said "of course".

SO Monday afternoon I had 724 miles on it when they took it in and they serviced it in a couple of hours, and I was back on the road! Everything is fine. Fresh oil, filter, plugs, and other required checks and such! WooHoo. I'm riding my "Pegasus" again, and happy as can be!

Thanks Ed, I've had fun riding and writing!

It sounds like you're in the media and you know it's fun reporting on your passions.

I'm glad you told me about the extension on your initial service. I just sent the dealer an email after an 80 mile ride today and asked the same question. I'm due for service on Tuesday and will be riding Thursday, Friday and Sunday...then 50 miles to the dealer for service. I should be around 700 miles by the time it gets to the dealer.

Great work there PBR, we're making motorcycle history and you're documenting it for the archives of life. I think we'll start seeing the other major manufacturers start to mimic Victory and try to catch the Vision, but the groundwork that you are laying to let folk know what they are missing will bag a great many riders before the others have a chance to challenge Vision.

When I got my ride I had over 1,000 miles before the first 500 mile service was done because I couldn't stay off of it. I wouldn't have gone any further than that, but the dealer didn't see any problems in having that many miles.

Looking forward to more of your writes...

Nice write-ups Andy. I enjoyed reading them and look forward to reading days 8-10. My only problem with all these great stories is, the more feedback I read like yours the harder it is going to be for me to wait until I get my bike....come on April 15th.

Hey Todd,

It's worth the wait! Anyway, isn't it too cold to ride in Canada now? Come on down to Sunny Florida!

Yes but come April 15th spring will be here in Canada, warmer temperatures, snow gone or at least mostly gone depending on which part of Canada you live in. You can bet that Todd and I will be riding our Victory Visions and finally get to experience what you have already.

One of these days I'm going to find a way get my bike up to Canada. I'm to understand you have some great, scenic routes in your neck of the woods. This would make for a great Summer trip.

Wouldn't it be great if a Victory Riders Group could put together package tour deal for us Southerners to tour your Canada? If someone can put together a Victory/Canada ride, I'm In.

Hey Andy Definitely a good read for the group. I am waiting here in Calgary for an April 1 delivery / pickup. I find it interesting how few complaints we see for an initial production motorcycle. With many bikes and over 40 years of riding for this 54 year old rider, I too am amazed at the Visions Ride and performance. Cheers Bobby B

Andy, I was in Florida last night, riding on an ocean side road with the Atlantic breeze in my face and my wife on the back of my MCPT Vision ... but then I woke up and I realized that I was still in the land of the snow.

BTW...I saw in your blog that you wanted a couple of pic of a Vision tipped over so I sent several to you.

Thanks. I received some tip-over photos last night and will be posting them later...most likely tonight as today could be a riding day and I'm taking a refresher safety course this afternoon. (If the instructor allows, I'll try to snap a few photos of the class).

It's a hot one today in South Florida...highs in the 80s, just a few clouds and a small chance for some isolated showers. When seeing the weather for the rest of the country, I realize that it has to be frustrating for so many riders. Yes, you can ride in cool or even cold weather, but snow and ice...no way.
