Just returned from a 10 day trip from my home in AZ to San Francisco and down the Pacific Coast to San Diego and back home. Total miles from start to finish was 2,209 of blue skies with weather in the 60's to 70's. This trip was as good as it gets, mainly BEACAUSE OF THE VISION. Well, maybe except for my wife that was on board, needed to say that. We did stop in Laughlin for the Southwest Victory Riders. Out of about 120 Vics I think I counted 11 Visions. Didn't see any others on the trip.

Stopped at Arlen Ness's store and spend a couple of hours with Kevin Ness talkin and seeing what all is going on with mods etc. Their catalog is out as of last week with accessories for the Vision, however some things will not be available for a month or two. Also stopped at V-Twins 101 and visited with Charlie the owner. I know Buckeye and other Socal guys like the store and I can see why. I recommend dropping by if you have the chance.

I don't think I made one stop for coffee, lodging, or sight seeing where someone didn't come up and google, smile and admire the Vision. Several people thought it must be a $50,000 bike. Two guys from Australia that made Socal a destination, and rented HD's in LA were blown away with it. I let one of the guys ride it and he wanted to dump his rented HD in the ocean.

Only one small issue, twice when I started up and rode off, the speedometer and Tach went dead ???. And yes, a real nightmare getting thru LA on a Sat afternoon.

This Vision was the "nuts" on a trip. Even my wife didn't tire out. I will post some pics of my V and a few of the trip. She took over 150 shots from the rear seat. Planning our next trip as of today.

WOOOHHOOOOO! Man what a trip 2200+ miles in one trip. And he took the wife. Maybe now I promote you to mudcamelJIM! No BuckNakd! I thought for sure someone would have a chance to cautiously talk or see the wild BUkNakd. Wish I could go on a run like that. Did you have to pull a trailer? Sounds like you got off the main track, ie freeway and went down smaller backroad not that the PCH is that small. I have been down the stretch around San Diego, really nice with a good view of the Coastline most of the time. I am so jealous, I throw sand in your mudhole. 10 days and that is all you can manage to type up. C'mon! You should be getting carpal tunnel from telling that story. Congrats! Sounded like fun.

Oh yeah, thanks for not calling it the ViVi. No manliness to that line whatsoeveratall. Like I said before need a somewhat manly name at least for me. Maybe I start another thread for that. Vision Rocks, rocka Vision, BUkNakd Vision, hang some bull nuts off of it, something.

Thanks for that report DesertJim. I'm satisfied with what you've said. When you said that this trip was as good as it get's, mainly BEACAUSE OF THE VISION. Well, maybe except for my wife that was on board, needed to say that. That is all that I need to hear. We took a short trip to Williamsburg the other day, which is just an hour away, and my wife slept, going and coming back. Whooohooo, Californey here we come! on my Rockin' ViVi! (sorry pollolittle, I couldn't resist)

Poochiken, Varyder thanks for the comments, I did make it short. I did wave at Buknkd going north of 29 Palms. BTW, one of the biggest rushes was in the City of SF going up and down those 30 degree streets, I felt like Steve McQueen in "Bullett." BTW, all my pics are over 90KB, can't get em in the Gallery????

MudcamelJim, there is a microsoft tool that will let you adjust pic sizes so that you can scrunch them down. If you need a link I can go find it for you.

Image Resizer PowerToy for Windows XP. After installing, right click on image in Windows explorer and select "Resize Pictures" from the menu.  It allows you to resize more than 1 picture at a time.

I believe also, you can just double-click and an editor like Paint-brush will open. You then can resize, but make sure you "Save as" to a different file name so that you keep the original.

DJ I dont know if this relates to your problem but I accidently hit the starter button once while it was running. The bike kept running, but the info/tainment shutdown, had to turn it off and restart. I wonder if theres a relay that controls it all?

Sounds like a great ride. Couldnt ask for better weather.

I wonder is memory serves me correct, do I remember some scoffing at my misfortune a few weeks ago, I may have to go back and revisit that thread. MudCamelJim, I shall honorably transfer new set of tissues to your location for appropriate weeping and knashing of teeth at the calamity that has befallen you. I will also take up a collection of new or used tissues for you at the time you happen to run out, just in case it takes to long.
Gents, time to bail out now this is the 3rd or 4th bike to go back and see the doctor. These things are falling like flies headed to fresh cow dung, BukNakd Kamakazee style. Abandon ship, abandon ship, all hands abandon ship, she's sinking fast. Unload these unreliable, underpowered, disasters of forward thinking style. Quick, compass, where's land? Life jacket, gloves, pants, clean droors, jump, swim, oh no sinking on my own. ARAARRRGGGGHH!!!! Sorry about that, I just finished reading over on a Winger forum platform about the nutted Vision. Maybe new name - Vis Jr - Son of Nuts of a Vision. Maybe name it like a horse, let me ponder.

pollolitte, Falling? Falling like flies? The only one that I've read that is fallen down so far is yours. But does that one count? Could it be you have Tunnel Vision? Your comments could cause Da Vision among the masses, but it would be hard to Tele Vision rider otherwise. Your Vision quest to cast doubts in the field of Vision of the Visionaires has me questioning whether you have a Vision at all.

I, in accordance with the BucKNakd way of thinking, have MANY VISIONS of Twentysomething hotties admiring our bikes and our sveltness of manliness. A vision I think so, but good one nonetheless. I must finally confess varyder has blown the lid off of the best kept secrets on here. I am a follower of the BuKNaKD Vespa Riders Association (BVRA). I have a tricked out, chrome edition Vespa, ridin' shotgun next to the Presidente', EL BUCKEYE! Tryin' to get you guys to quite buying these things and join our club.

a hush befalls the croud as the BUCKEYE takes the podium..."FRIENDS, AND FELLOW VESPA RIDERS,,,,"swig beer" WE GATHER HERE TO TAKE PITTY ON OUR MEDICATED FRIEND, polopooter! HE HAS BEEN IN THE THROWS OF A WIFE INDUCED REBUILD OF AN UNBREAKABLE BIKE (that mrs. poot broke). WHILE POLOPOOTER MAY LACK THE APROPRIATE AMOUNTS OF TESTOSTERONE, LET IT BE KNOWN, HE IS, IN FACT....THE MAN (when his wife says it ok). HE HAS SHOWN US, THAT SOMETIMES, WE TAKE THIS UNBEARIBLE YET SASSY TASK OF LIFE, WAY TO SERIOUSLY, AND (shot guns beer, pops another top) HAS SINGLE HANDEDLY, AS VICE VESPA, REMINDED ME, IT'S ALL GOOD. (raises hands to hush enamarous, and livasious crown). MAY WE ALL LEARN FROM HIS WISDOM AND CONCERN FOR OUR SANITY,,,,and shit. (Buckeye walks from podium, hailed with throngs of cheers, money and ladies undergarments)
Now quit crying like a little baby, hitch up your gotchski's, throw your miserable excuse for a chest out, and get out there and ride for the Gipper!

(Start Chant) BuckNaKd BUCKEYE, BuckNaKd BUCKEYE, BuckNaKd BUCKEYE, BuckNaKd BUCKEYE, BuckNaKd BUCKEYE, BuckNaKd BUCKEYE, (end chant)! This is really starting to sound like a frat house, or a soldier's liberty pass. Dibs on the small ladies undergarments, BuckNakD gets all the really bigones. SandCamelJim sweep the house take what you want. So, if I am Vice VEsPA, SandcamelJim, that leaves you at your choice to become Treasurer or Secretary. The back of your shirt in your gallery collection makes me think you want to be the hottie Secretary, so we give that position to you. VARyder, has ill intentions of joining this Motley Crue (80's band), so maybe we make him honorary Treasurer until we find out whether or not he keeps the dollars for himself or spends the money to trick out his own Vespa, maybe some chrome 8" wheels. Metalguy, we need a custom billet 8" rim (just one not enough money for two yet.) As Vice Vespa, I say commence said party till Grebs 59 says "He has had enough with all the youngesters ruining his reading, frollicking, swilling of adult liquor, and carousing of ladies." Thank you and "PARTY ON"
