| Has anyone had the HID headlight quit working? Is it covered by original warranty or the extended. 30K on it & have had to replace the infamous high beam headlights. By the way my wrench did the headlights in 45 minutes & cost $140 for the bulbs & installation. Didn't see any blood on him after or didn't hear any foriegn language.
Any feed back is welcome

| My HID as hasn't hardly worked in 2 yrs. I bet it's been out over half the time since I've had the bike. The dealer is an hour away and I'd rather ride than have the Vision in the shop. |

20 miles west of Chicago. | Easiest things first.First, look into the headlight housing and check that the tubular reflector which wraps around the HID bulb hasn't fallen off and is not laying in the bottom of the housing. Second, remove the aluminum bridge panel on the top of the tank area in which the HID switch is located, (Look for the additional small screw on the left side of the panel, in addition to the 4 obvious ones.) Check that the HID wire which snaps on to the bottom of the HID switch has not worked loose or fallen off entirely. If so, plug it back in to the bottom of the switch. Third, pull the air filter and reach up behind the HID light, pull the rubber boot, and make sure the wire/plug is fully seated. Fourth, check the fuse and or relay. |

Since the HID bulb is on the bottom it is pretty easy to get at, especially if the air filter is removed.
You require to remove the entire headlight assembly as the HID bulb is held in place by 2 screws.
