| I did some work this weekend on my VV.
I finished up my lay down license plate bracket, installed a set of RPW Double Vision Exhaust, a Lloydz Intake plate, and a Lloydz tuner.
The intake plate is a very simple install and only take about 10 - 15 mins, the tuner on the other hand took me a bit longer only because of my big ol' hands. The injectors are pretty hard to get at, but once I got my hands in there and got them off the rest of the install went really smooth.
As for the exhaust OMG... I have installed exhaust on just about every make and model motorcycle out there. I am not sure if the engineers at Victory ever planned on having this exhaust system off the bike again or what, but I essentially had to take the bike down to the frame on the passenger side to get the new exhaust on, and had to take the entire back of the bike off to get the stock exhaust off because of the way the mounts are.
All in all everything took me about six and a half hours and if I had to do it again I think I could do it faster since this was the first time I every had to take the side panels or the front of the bike apart so some of the time was spent figuring out what all panels had to come off and in what order.

Yea I don't think I would want to do that. At least my garage is air conditiond. It was 103 today, if I had to do it in a 8x16 shed I would have waited till winter or pulled the bike into the living room, and I think the wife would have had something to say about that.

Basically I wanted something with better sound and I really like the way these sounded. I also like the look of the black exhaust, I have plans for a two tone satin black and silver paint job so they will match really well. Also if they are good enough for Lloydz they are good enough for me. I did a bunch of research and while I didn't gain or lose any HP or Torque with this exhaust it did bring my Torque down lower in the power band, but again that wasn't my biggest reason for buying.

So Cal | I keep going back and forth on exhausts. This is the first bike I have EVER owned that dosent annoy the neighbors. But Im not the only one that rides in this neighborhood. So I think, whats one more loud exhaust? Then I remember all the money I spent on pipes over the years. But this is the only bike Ive ever owned that will do 110+ right out of the box. I'll wait. |

| One of these days I'm going to have to get a decent exhaust on mine. I just want a low rumble and a good crackle when I hammer it. Best thing I can do, I guess, is find a bunch of Visions and listen to the different installations. I really don't need much more power but throttle response could be improved. |
