i have 500 miles on my bike and noticed the last couple hunderd miles it was handling badly so i ck. my tires the rear was down to 30 and the front was 25 do new tires lose air, never had that happen before.. i take to dealer on thursday i'll have to have him check it over during 500 ck. up

all tires loose air. and if they were never properly inflated to start with then you dont know what about of PSI they had in it for it to loose.. put them both at 40 and wait a week then check again.. i learned first hand that improperly inflated tires is a good way to waste money...

when i got it home i ck. and fill up to my gauge after 1 month 10psi low filled them back up after 500 mile ser. three days later 5psi low on both, soaped the rims did see any bubbles.. have to have dealer ck again i can see adding a couple of pounds a month but not 5psi every three days!!!!!

soap up the check valve inside the valve stem. Sometimes they come loose. You can get a tightening tool at any bicycle shop for under a $1.00

heres the newest... tires were still leaking couldn't get to dealer right away so i polished the rims with mothers alum. polish and a power ball since then no leaks in 4 days. so did the rims finally seal or are their mirco leaks and the polish filled them in for awhile... i guess only time will tell...dave

up date on leaks, the valve stem nuts were loose couldn't tell unless you grabbed it and wiggled back and forth tighened up no air loss since then... thanks dave

I always check and adjust the inner valve stem as suggested and I have been using valve caps that when screwed down seal. They have a rubber washer/o-ring. I believe I got these at a BMW dealer, from what I understand stock BMW caps seal also and BMW claims high speeds will cause all valve stems to leak so that why they suggest the sealing caps.
