VA | Hey, does anyone here own the Victory Renegade boot, and can you tell me if you like it? Looking for something that is comfortable to walk in. I know, I know, there are other boot companies that are better, but I want this type fo style, and RedWing doesn't have them. So, for those that own these, can you give some feedback? Also, do they seem to be waterprrof or insulated at all? Appreciate the help.

Savannah, GA -Year round riding!! Yay! | AS was mentioned in the thread about the backseat bag, Victory doesn't seem to make any of their own apparel. The Victory Renegade boots that you were interested in look a lot like a style of boot that we carry in our store, Milwaukee Motorcycle Clothing Co. by Carroll Companies. As near as I can tell, they are similar to the MMCC style called Trooper. I personally were a similar boot, but with a shorter shaft, called the Accellerator. A very comfortable boot. Ride all day, walk around all night. Great oil resistent sole., and about $50 less in price (oh wait, there's that logo charge... ....)

New Bohemia, VA | While we're on the topic of boots, I just want to share that I've been wearing Tony Lama rubber sole cowboy boots for over a year now and think they are great. I work in an office environment and I can ride, and get off and go to work without clugging around in riding boots. I find them to be very comfortable and look forward to getting them resoled soon. I've got a second pair so I can swap, and both are close to resoling. |

Tucson, AZ | Yep i have a pair of Redwings that i wear daily for work that are like that. They actually have carbon fiber toes vs. steel and are lighter and wearable from day one. No need for the breakin blues....

Northeast Ohio | I have the renegades and love them. The zipper down both sides makes them a breeze to get on and off. They do get hot if you keep them on for more than an hour. |

VA | Thanks for the input! I actually went to a local leather/motorcycle shop here locally and bought a pair of the Milwaukee Trooper boots. Now that I look more closely, they do look identical. I went to a local RedWing dealer, and they only had a couple of pairs of lcae up style boots. They were similar, but not what I was looking for. Mainly, I wanted something with more of a lug sole. Also, they wanted $200+. The the third was that the ones that I liked only came in brown. Just had to have black I guess.
So, worn the Mil. boots for about 2 days now and I can say that they are pretty good. I think they still need to break in, but overall, seem happy. I got hot feet anyways, except in winter, so used to the heat. Hopefully won't be too bad in the summer. Thanks for the input.
