I suppose this is old news, buuutt, I'm looking @ just under 95K on my original belt and sprockets. The parts all look good, but with a 3800-4000 mile trip coming up in June from central FL. to El Paso, TX and back, I'd rather do it with a NEW set.

Ma Polaris no longer has the front drive sprocket, and Don Wood Vic parts wants $200 JUST for shipping, but $140 for front drive sprocket, $387+ for the rear driven sprocket, and $257+ for the belt!!! That adds up to just under $785 with another
$200 for shipping!!!
GEEEZ, LOUEEEZ, just put all of it one box!!! $40-50 MAYBE for shipping!! I know...bitch...bitch...bitch.

witchbiker '09 Vision Tour

I DON'T RECOMMEND FREEDOM PERFORMANCE PIPES!!! I'M ON MY 2ND SET, AND BOTH CHROME AND BLACK CORRODED TO THE EXTREME!!!

seeing how the front sprocket is steel I wouldn't think you would need one. But the rear being aluminum you just might.
What does the belt look like. Are the lugs in good shape or do they have cracks in them

Well then, JimTom, maybe I shouldn't be too concerned about my measly 95K, since you've outrun most of us, mileage wise!! I can only HOPE to get that many miles on my '08 Vision Tour. The belt DOES look ok, and there aren't any cracks or chunks out of either sprocket. I expect the rear would be the first to show something, since it is aluminum.  I'll have my mechanics take a good look when I replace my tires before the trip. Almost 16.5K on the Dunlop E4's put on last June.

Thanks for the input!
