I'm on my second E4 rear. I love the tires personally. Because I live way up on a mountain, dirt road, numerous switchback, not Vision friendly, my bike rests at a storage facility. Unfortunately contractors use the same facility. I took a 3/4" self tapping screw dead center of my fairly new rear E4. That hurts. Owner says he picks up screws a lot. Not good for me.

Ouch. Maybe one of those magnetic "brooms" would be useful to you to sweep the path you use at the storage facility.

That sucks. I always carry a Dynaplug repair kit and palm size compressor with me just in case I face a similar situation.

All great advice. I've already purchased a new Metz ME 888, once it's mounted, I'll put the pull through mushroom style plug in the E4 and use it when the Metz gives up. Shopping air compressors now.
