Took the bike in for a ny state inspection and the tech happens to notice that the in the hid head light the reflector cone has fallen off and is bouncing around in the hid head light. He says that you want to get that fixed asap as the cost of the hid bulb is big $$$ Since that head light is not required for ny state the bike passes after a new front tire. Now that the bike has passed I need to try to figure how to get the cone snapped in to the head light slot. It appears that nothing has broken, it just fell out of the retaining slot

I'm guessing the complete head light will have to come out so I can wrestle it around and tilt as needed so I can get a piece of wire in the head light and try to get it back in to the slot. I'm also guessing the head light dosent come apart as it is a sealed unit to keep water out.

Any thoughts or suggestions??

That's how mine was when I got it. Yes you must remove the whole assembly, yes it is sealed. What you have to do is get it with a pair of needle nose. Then pull it back in place.
