Does anyone know if an iPhone will work with the Vision audio system if you have the iPod cable? I'm told the connection on the device is the same. Just wondering if the work the same if you use the phone as an iPod.

Yes, it will work fine. An added benefit is when your iPhone gets a call, it rings thru the Vision's sound system.

Thanks Jam. I saw you previously answered my question in another post. Next time I'll search first.

So why is the iPhone ringing through the audio an added benefit? Can you answer it
and converse?

WAIT!!! I Phone 3G will play, but DOES NOT CHARGE. Also, if you have the phone on with wi-fi and you switch to another source, it will interfere (intermittently) with the radio. You can purchase a 3rd party adapter to allow the phone to charge off the Visions cable.

I purchased a 3rd Gen 8G iPod nano from Apple (Refurb) for $99. It works great, built rock solid and goes to sleep when the bike is off. You can plug it in and leave it on the bike until you want to update your playlists. Now I don't worry about my phone bouncing around in the storage area, and I have room in the storage pocket for other things.

Here Here on the 8GB Nano. I leave mine connected in the accessory pouch unless I want to load or rearrange music. At first, I hated that when I turned off the bike, the Play List would only start from the beginning song. Then I realized that if I turned off the Radio Power Button first, that the IPod would pick up from where it left off when I shut it down.

I will add that even though it does not charge the iPhone, if you turn off all the other stuff, such as wifi, the iPod will last much longer. My buddy has an iPhone and before we go riding, he turns off all the other stuff and it lasted 6 hours with only 1 bar used. Just a thought for those using the iPhone.

To keep my job! LOL I've REALLY been wanting to fall off of the grid for a long time now. That would be sweet.
