Ok stop buy my dealer to get my bike from getting the pipes put on....and seen what they had in that was new.....well they had the 09 cup holders in and the ram ball for the mirror mount for driver so ...I was lookin at it and had a thought I had a spare 2 hole ram mount base at home ,so I got 2 cup holders with an idea in mind...so here it is and I went and did it ( this only works if ya arent gonna use the cb for the passenger....
took the left side speaker cover off took my ram base marked and drilled out the holes on the cover bought 2 allen head 1/2 long screws cant rember thier size 2 self locking nuts and some oversized washers for the back side of the cover so that this would be a solid mount with minimal flex.....5 minutes and tada! Pics below

the mirror mount for the driver

next the passenger mount

Thanks Rodog. What would keep from mounting on the right side for the passenger? That way if you have the cb/intercom you can have both.

Ahh yes as ya could.......the reason for me is ...not gettin the cb......the main is my wife always gets and always has from the right side..so that was my reasoning for my mount as it wont be in her way when she gets on......ya could mount it the way ya say for sure !

Thanks! Mine also saddles up from the right and disembarks to the left, always has. Do those things pop off easy? That way I can take if off until she rides and pop it on when she's on. I've never used them or looked at them close.

Yes ...they come off in seconds look up at the driver one top right corner of the mount thier is a t screw molded mount thier sorry it isnt that clear in the pics....both can pop right off then your just left with the ball mount as in the pic.

I did find this out today with cup holders....get yourself a spill proof style cup.....as i used one of our travel coffee mugs with slide mouth piece......yeah 1st road bumps.....the tank was sprayed in coffee...stopped by target tonight got some 100% spill proofs got a push button clicker on it.....in the summer if I stop I will just get things that have pop tops....and bring along my mountain bike thermos it has a pop top then I can just fill it up as needed.

When I bought my Vision I jokingly asked where are the cup holders? Now I see the joke is on me cause you have them.

Stopped by my local dealer too see if my cup holder was in.

Sales person told me some dork bought 2 cup holders, he he.

Asked the sales person why the cup holder I ordered was sold???

Guess they where put out on display.

Anyway saw the new 106" blue and white Hammer 'S' way cool only if I was in my twenties again.

See ya on the road.

Great idea and thanks for sharing. I really like where the drivers cup holder sits. I have the ram mount cup holder from my nomad I just sold and have been trying to figure how to mount it on my vision and now you answerd it for me. Thanks bro. You wouldnt happen to know the part number for the ball that mounts to the clutch res area would you?

thanks for the reply. One more quick question. i notice on your clutch res that you have something extra to attach it to. I just looked at my vision and all I see is a bolt that holds the clutch lever in place. Do you have some thing extra on your clutch res? I there a different clutch res?Was it made for the for the CB controls? mine does not have a hole at all. Help?

Would you mind throwing the woman on the rear and taking a pic? I was looking to do something similar (i was looking at the inside of the hand hold in the rear). Oh yeah, can you throw a cup in there too?

THANKS!
