Morning all, I just purchased an '08 comfort tour with 17k miles on it this weekend. Looking forward to putting many more miles on her. I like it so far with the couple of short rides I have done. Rides very nice, noticed the weight quickly at parking lot speeds. Im not a big guy so might notice that quicker than others. My wife and daughter love the lounge chair they attached to the back, ha. First couple of items I will try to work on is maybe converting the running lights on the trunk to brake/signals for better sight line to those riding in their cages. Then maybe a heel shifter, not a big deal but something I am used to from my other bikes.
Thanks for making this site and I look forward to learning more about the bike.

Welcome! 17K on an 08?!, "aught a be a law!"
Here's hoping you put some respectable miles on her. Vision's like to be ridden , sounds like she was neglected by her previous owner. I'm not a big guy either. You do notice the weight sometimes in low speed maneuvers , especially 2-up. I think you are going to love this bike! Heel shifter is the very first thing I ever did to mine.

Thanks guys. The gentleman I bought it from lost his health is the reason for the low mileage. He hated to see it go. I will check on the fender, thanks.

Welcome to the site and congrats on the Vision. We spent 3 days in Buckhannon last June. You have a great bike for the roads we found. Enjoy!

There are several posts regarding upgrading the trunk running lights to brake/turns signals. I did the mod on my Vision and like the results. You will also find lots of ideas regarding engine/h.p. improvements. You can spend alot of time and money on your new toy. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

Haha, I have no doubts on the time and money, any thing fun has those items following it. H-D stood for Hundred Dollars, what does VV stand for? Ha. I have owned a crotch rocket, fatboy, and Boulevard over the years and could spend $$ on any of them.

sorry to hear that. Moral of the story ; ride while you can. The reality is , we will all have to stop riding someday.

Changed the oil and put some air in the rear shock this weekend and took a couple hour ride. I love this bike. Has some weight to it like I mentioned before but getting more used to that. It rides so nice though that I have no complaints, wife seconds the motion as a passenger, loves it.
