Kickstand has cracked near mounting hole. I got the nut off the bolt, and if I can get that pesky spring off I believe the bolt will pull right out. Any tips? It's up on a jack right now for a new rear tire.

No real tip, just wrench it off. I had to ride a few days without a kick, used a jack stand under the rear tip over to park.

Thought I remembered a coin trick. With the kick down, stuff some coins in areas of the spring so when you put the stand back up it doesn't compress so much.

Oh, yeah, that. I didn't have any problem putting my spring on with the kick in the up position. It's good you caught it before it broke completely. Mine broke just as I grabbed the bar to mount it, nearly hitting my foot.

The Vision is the easiest side stand to work on. To take off, pull down remove bolt and push to upright position. To put back on, in upright position put spring
on, then pull down holes will line up put bolt in. I have done this with the Vision, laying on the right tip overs. I take my side stand off for greasing every
year.
