Hello All

Its certainly been awhile and a few kms since I last checked in, except the occassional lurking.

However, I now have a bit of an issue. My Garmin 2820 is now obsolete in that I can no longer load maps onto it with my "lifetime" subscription.

However, my wife has a zumo 660 with harness from her 2012 Cross Country Tour that she is no longer using... she just traded her victory for a spyder...

Mine is a 2009 Vi Vi tour premium

My question is, if I install compatible connectors, will the zumo work the same as the 2820 did through the bike's sound system and get power?

Has anyone done this?

What connector did you use?

Does anyone have a list of what wires are for what on each side of the connector?

Thanks in advance

When my 2820 failed to load maps I emailed Garmin. they were very nice. 40% off any unit. Still a lot of money just for a weatherproof GPS. They gave me a 54LM for free. I just bought a weatherproof jacket for it. The touch works fine with front screen just need a solid push. Worse comes to worse I am just going to hook it through the socket in the glove box.
Hopefully someone has a way to hook it up and everything works. "Old technology". :~

Check out this thread on the VOG, all the details you need for either the 660 or any Garmin for that matter. If you need the parts information for getting the factory connector for the GPS that plugs into the bikes factory plug for power and audio input, let me know.
