Milwaukee, WI United States | Hey has anyone out there installed the handlebar option that have a 2 in. shorter pull back? Or has anyone seen any other options for handlebars on the replacements for the Vision? I have long arms and bad circulation and would like to get my hands down a little lower t and maybe forward or with a little wider position for the grips. If you changed your bars, how does it change the ride and where did you get them?
Just wondering if there are any other options out there.

Hot Springs Village, Arkansas | Check the Arlen Ness site, He has them in black or chrome, 2 inches shorter than stock. Has anybody tried a wedge or ??? to lower them for short people like me, and maybe get them out of the mirrors a little? Thanks |

So Cal | Yeah, Ness is the only option out there. Someone on this site had a pair made. Cant remember who. The bars are different than most. Clearence is an issue also, under the dash. |

, FL United States | If you'll check the '09 accessories catalog, Victory now offers 2" shorter than stock handlebars. A Vision rider here in Jacksonville,Fl has ordered one for his Vision, not installed yet. Will get him to post when they are. |

| My dealer has a NEW 09 which has the 2 inch shorter bars on it. I sat on the bike and noticed the bar was taller and shorter immediately, very comfy for me at 6' tall. I asked them about the bars and was told it came that way so I did a little detective work of my own comparing mine to theirs. The bar sets about 1/2 to 3/4 inch taller as measured at the glovebox and approximately 1.5-2 further forward as compared with my stockers. You can flip the glovebox open under the bar with clearance to spare.
Might be exactly what a taller rider needs or someone who needs the arms extended more. |

I am 6-07 and bought the new shroter Arlen Ness bars. I want to put them on myself. How easy is it? Can somebody tell me how without having the dealer do it.

Richmond, Virginia | Personally id have my dealer do it. Im sure I could, but thats a lot to remove and re-assemble esp the heated grips where the power is inside the handlebar unit. Some things its just easier to let someone with the correct know how and the tools get it done. Remember, if its done wrong then they have to fix it. If you mess it up now not only can you not get it to them to fix because you cant drive it, but also if you messed it up the first time, whos to say you can fix it the second time. spend the money, its a one time deal. |

Kincardine, Ontario, Canada | I'm 6'6" with 36" arms, I had the Ness bars put on by the dealer before I took possession, I had a lot of discomfort in my butt and elbows after 1/2 hr of riding and couldn't wait to off it.
Ended up riding the dealers bike for an afternoon while they did my first service, no butt or elbow issues. When I got home I went back to stock bars and I've been comfortable ever since.
Although the Ness bars allowed me a more aggressive riding position when going into sweepers. |

Oakdale MN | I put Mini Apes on mine and love it. best thing I did to the bike besides cams. The trick using or building the right riser and that will dictate if you need custom bars made or with the right risers you could run almost any bar you would find in a catalog as long as the clearence works. I went 12" up with mine and 2" back I'm 6' tall and enjoy the position I run in now. There are also aftermarket grip heaters or you can reuse your stock ones. This may seam like a big job put really it is not that tough to do. |

TUCSON, AZ | If you want longer handle bars Arizona Victory can ge them for you. One inch or two inch longer. With the two inch longer bars the grips are approximately on inch higher then stock. From what I hear, the people that have them, find it alot more relaxed ride and arm position. A side bennifit, I'm told, easier u-turns. Got to put them on my bike. |

TUCSON, AZ | The longer bars don't require any changes to the wiring or hydraulic lines. Though some minor rerouting is required. |

Oakdale MN | Being someone that has played with mounting bars on a Vision I really don't think there is any way to get beach bars on one. A person could shorten the pull back some and exchange that for width but you would be limited in lock to lock turning.
Also if you are playing with bars and were going 2" longer I think you would be fine with stock cables/line they may need to be routed different and you may need to rebleed hydraulics if you have to remove from master cylinders to get the disired routing path you need. |

I am 6'6 and have 37-38 inch arms. I had Ness, Dublin, CA make me some custom bars that are approximately 3 inches taller and 4 inches shorter. They are working fine and I love them. I slight gotcha though. The stock mirrors are now blocked. So, I am adding Ness Rad III mirrors to the controls on the handlebars as we speak. It looks awesome..
Nothing new for us tall guys to have to modify things to fit us.
Let me know you want the bars Brett had made and they can replicate. I will send photos after I get my bike back from being blacked out..
