I have a 2009 vision had the factory battery in it and it was tuning over slower so I bought a new battery put it on the tender. The next day drove to work stopped at gas station to get gas and when I went to start my bike up it turned over slow and would not start. I let it set 5 minutes and it started has there been any other visions that are having this problem Dale.

maybe you have bad new battery.

Turn key on voltmeter should be 12.2 volts. Start bike volt meter should be 14.2 if eight one is not what I said then you have a problem.
you need a helper and a volt meter. Start bike put meter on battery. Now rev it to about 2000 rpms volts should go from 12 to 14. If not bad regulator

Don't like to brag - BUT

My 2008 just started it's EIGHTH YEAR with the STOCK battery - and still works LIKE NEW. Only different thing I have done with this bike over my other 23 machines is regularly hook up the battery tender set to MOTORCYCLE setting. (I also ride/insure year round as long as roads are dry/frost free)

If it only drags when warm I would suspect the starter or maybe the starter connections.

I checked the connections it looks like I have a bad starter. The dealer said that some of the visions he has seen had bad starters. The cruse stopped working now the starter.

Got my original battery in my 09 Anniversary bike-never had a bike battery last so long. No signs of reaching the end of the line. I usually toss a trickle charger on a couple times over the winter. You can bet Yuasa I'll be buying another one of those when the time comes.

So, what is wrong with your cruise control? Starters are not indicative of the quality of the bike, they come from 3rd party vendors and can be shared across multiple application. It should be covered under the Polaris warranty though, just as your cruise control would be if it is not merely the fuse.

I pulled the starter off the bike last night, there was a broken brush in the starter the rest where worn. 39000 miles on bike this seems to be a bit early in it life. I looked into the cruse last year I am not sure what is up with it but could not get through the trouble shooting checks for it. I will just ride with out it for now. Have a good week!
