New Orleans, La,
I just read an article and saw pictures of a Scout customized by Klock Works and was impressed. I am considering a second bike, something smaller but still highway worthy, and I really like the new liquid cooled Indian. I would like to see the factory build a performance Scout with 17 in wheels with performance rubber. I really like the 2 into 1 performance exhaust on the Lock Works custom. I recall all of the original Indians came with 2 into 1 exhaust systems. The Klock Works custom opened up to me some real possiblies for the performance model from Indian. And while I'm dreaming a 4.5 or 5 gal. tank would be nice and some T drag style bars. Ahhh it would be nice.

Yeah, Klock's daughter did a really nice job on the Scout. FYI, she was 14 when she set a land speed record. AWESOME!!

Myself the only thing I would change is I want beachbars on it. I need to see what they look like. Fun little throw around bike.

I was looking at the Scout on display at Chesapeake Cycles near Annapolis this last weekend. The belt on it is tight as fuck; I asked them about it and they said that; that's the way it's supposed to be; due to the geometry of the drive sprocket and the rear pulley.

That's kind of what I like about it. I, personally, am not a huge fan of the old Indian look. If I wanted an OLD looking bike I would have bought a HD...

I like the Dirty Bird version. I would buy it in a heartbeat if it had a low mount/upswept exhaust, mid controls or slightly rearset controls, and dual front brakes. "New Sport Cruiser".

honestly i didnt want to say it before when i mentioned i wont have known what it was if it didnt have the badges.. but between the water cooling and just the over all shape of the engine.. i thought it was a yamaha at first.. i thought maybe it was a off-spin or a Vmax. Then a few times when i see photos of it , i think it had a similar V-rod engine appearance...

I agree with your statement but I also happen to like the look of a lot of the Yamahas, they are the only Jap cruisers that I really like...

Got to ride it at the Az. IMS gotta say one of the best drive trains polaris has put out. the motor has plenty of low end oomph and the tranny is one of the slickest and precise yet. I'm a pretty big guy though and at6'1" 300lbs. I'm not comfortable on it for very long . But a great entry level bike in the 12k range

because they are in high demand you mean? and they sell before you have a chance to see it on the floor, is that why?
