Duncan, BC Canada | Hello to all. I am a new person to your forum. I have taken the Vision for a couple of Demo rides and am looking to purchasing one. I really like the ride and it fits me perfectly. There is no question of if I purchase one. The question I have is has there been any changes/upgrades to the bike form 2012 to 2015. Another words is there any intensive to buy a 2015 over an older model other than a longer warranty from date of purchase?

Jasper, MO | While there have been some small refinements since the bike was introduced in 2008, they got it right the first time. These things are also proving to be very reliable and there are Visions with well over 100,000 miles and still going strong. Find one with the options you want and go for it.

Racine, WI United States | What Street Eagle said, and basically color chooses. Get what hits you best. Love my '13 black Vision. Every time I get on it, it feels like the first time riding it. I came off of a '09 Road Glide, and there is no doubt that the Vision is the best motorcycle out there. I've had Goldwings and even an Electraglide, and they pale in performance and handling to the Vision. You'll never get the smile off your face once you own a Vision. |

Duncan, BC Canada | Looking forward to have the smile back on the face. Had that with my RSVenture until it was written off. Tried a sport touring bike but just didn't fit. A friend bought a Vision and says it handles way better than the RSV. |

Chesterfield, VA | The biggest change to the Vision took place in 2011. The transmission was upgraded as mentioned above and also ABS became standard. Another thing to keep in mind is that the Vision also lost HID lighting in 2012. If looking for a used model the 2011 is the best year (IMHO). |

I have a 2008 (1st year) Vision now with over 40,000 miles. Absolutely no problems. Even still on original brake pads. Tires and easy oil changes, that's it. The most maintenance free and comfortable bike I have ever owned. You won't regret riding a Vision!!

| Most of the bikes that have over 100K miles are from 2008 - 2010. I haven't read about 1 of them having transmissions problems. The upgrade to the transmission I think was just to silence the "clunk" shifting which I prefer. I prefer it on mine because I know I don't have a miss-shift. The bikes are very reliable. I have an 08 but I think the best model to have is the 09 - 11. That's when all of the options were available for the bike to include lighted Victory badges on the sides, lots of chrome, HID, etc. You cant go wrong with any of the models. Hands down the most comfortable bike out there. |

The tranny change was just to quiet teh tranny not to address a problem. My 2008 blew a head gasket at 91,000 miles. Kevin Cross is repairing now. It's teh first time it has seen the inside of a service bay ever. |

And the Tour Premium package with all the standard chrome and HID light went away on the later models.
I love my 2008 Tour Premium, but if I were in the market, I would be looking for a 2009 or 2010 Tour Premium. When you see one, you will know why. The later ones replaced a lot of chrome with paint and the HID running light with a regular bulb. They look "cheapened" IMHO.
If you think you might want reverse, any of them from 2009 forward will be good. If you don't care about reverse, include the 2008.
