Albuquerque NM | I would like to thank everyone one here for the great information regarding the additives for our wet clutches, and I will make sure to watch that information like a hawk when I'm picking out my next oil. I have been using Lucas motorcycle full synthetic, and I haven't had an issue. But I would like to share a story about my 1950 Chevy truck with the 235 inline six cylinder. When I was still running dino juice in it I would shut it off on a hot summer day and watch the H2O gauge shoot all the way to pegged. It wasn't a big deal because as soon as the engine was running again the temp came right back down.
Then I switched to synthetic, and in similar circumstances the temp would only rise 10-15 degrees. That's when I knew that a quality synthetic was different than a quality petroleum oil.
