Clinton, CT | No problem, just curious what causes a something...
When decelerating (specifically when engine braking) I notice the bike will surge slightly- hard to describe but something of a cough or stumble as the RPMs come down past about 1400 at zero throttle. This is consistent and noticeable in any gear. Not sure if I am describing this very well...
Again not a problem or thinking anything is wrong, I am just wondering why?

| This is common with the OEM "stock" ECM flash, due to the "lean cutout" that is used to keep the catalytic converter material clean by heating the exhaust and burning off the crud.
The stage 1 map eliminates the decel "hiccup".

| Idle Air Valve I'm thinking is bad. Lloydz sells one if your out of warranty. It runs off vacuum and I think 2014 could be the last year Vic uses them. It will improve the lean stall condishions

Clinton, CT | Responses here are now more confusing that when I started.
Already have the IAV, bike already tuned with flash update...
Looking at the thread linked above, I'll pull the MAP from the bike and take a look at the trim settings again but hesitant to tweak anything based on the tune Kyle at KMC did being spot-on.

Observing the "stumble" it is in fact in the vicinity of 1700 RPM. My memory wasn't as close as I thought and took note of it yesterday. I guess I am chasing the same ghost; it seems "normal" or intentional but it is an oddity.
In truth, I am unsure if KMC did an actual "Stage I" ECU flash in conjunction with the PCV installation and subsequent tune. I can tell you that redline is extended so I would have to assume yes; don't know any other way to extend the rev limiter.
Just confirmed my MAP has zeros set at 0% throttle from 1500 RPM and up...

The rev extend is done by the PCV, not the ECM flash. If you have the hiccup, then you more than likely have a stock Victory ECM flash. The stage 1 flash removes the hiccup.

I am assuming the hiccup we are discussing is an intentional behavior as you mentioned earlier "due to the "lean cutout" that is used to keep the catalytic converter material clean by heating the exhaust and burning off the crud." I can't see that being a bad thing...
Based on how well the bike is running and the fact that the hiccup is less than an annoyance, I am resigned to say to hell with it.
When Kyle gets back from the roadtrips, I may pose the question about the re-flash and new tune but having a hard time justifying the cost vs. gain.
