| My wife and I are going to adopt the Harley Lifestyle. We will buy luxury touring bikes, and a branded trailer to haul them on. Next, we will suit up from head to toe in black leather jeans, assless, and jackets, doo rags, and even our watchbands will carry the famous logo. We will be bad motherfvckers and go to Daytona for bike week.

New Bohemia, VA | Wow! There use to be a Harley rider here on the forum that went off on me when I said a Harley rider gave me the high IQ finger when I was riding through Texas. Too bad he's not here now, he might give you an ear full. He left after owning his Vision for 25,000 miles and said it was a piece of junk. |

orrick, mo | I was talking to a Harley rider at work the other day and he was giving me grieve about Victorys. I told him the only reason he was still on a Harley was because he was to scared to ride a Victory because if he rode one he'd have to own one. I laughed my ass off when he agreed.  |

Denver, Iowa | At Daytona last weekend, at the demo rides, I sat with some guys from Florida. One was dressed head to toe in Harley gear, since he had owned Harley's for over 40 years. After talking to him for a while, come to find out, he traded off his Harley for a Cross Country, put 7000 miles on it in 5 months, just test rode an Indian Cheiftan, and couldn't stop expressing his surprise about how far behind Harley was in power and handling. He was certainly old school, but has since realized how far behind the pack he has been while riding his Harley.

| For real laughs, I put on a Harley shirt for toy runs and poker rides. When out amongst the peeps and asked what I ride I tell 'em a '09 Vision, I just like the designs on some of the Harley shirts. You can see the hamster wheels in their lil heads spinning while they mull that over. |

| There are plenty of dumb asses in both camps, I own a 11 Road glide and an 09 Vision. When I ride my RG the jerk off's on the me 2 bikes (Street Glide's) stick their nose in the air and tell me how ugly my RG is ect, when I ride my Vision I get a dose of crap from the Victory Cross bike guys who say " That vision looks like a spaceship, why would you ride that dumb looking thing" I just smile and realize that dealing with these turds is just part of wanting to ride something different than the rest of sheep in this world. 2 guys in a Harley dealer, one says to the other "hey what do you ride?" the second guy says "a Street Glide", the first guy says 'yeah me 2". Hence why I call a Street Glide a me 2 bike, because every swinging di** has one, plus it really pisses Street Glide owners off and I'm all about that! |

| I have to laugh I to have a friend that got all excited when he posted on FB that he was taking his S Glide in to have some new 106 jugs put on. I commented that I was happy for him cause now he could finally keep up with me since I was already sporting those big jugs....for some reason he gave a double number one sign! Can't believe how much fun my Vision can be.....LOL.
Guess I'm not part of the club anymore.........

Glendale, AZ United States | Ride what you want. If the bike does what you intend it to do and you are happy with it that's all that matters. I have no brand loyalty for fear of "pigeon holding" myself. VV would be the only bike in the Vic lineup I would personally own. I never bought anything I have ridden based on "styling." In fact, the styling of the bike wouldn't even be on my top ten list. I'm utility and function minded/oriented.
When I want styling, I will have my wife call up her interior decorator friend to help her pick out new paint in the living room to mach the new couch and love seat. Coming from the BMW camp (Still love BMWs by the way, but a horror story to work on, especially new newer models) I ride often with my BMW buddies. I always get a kick watching the HD folks doing a double take in the rear view when I blow by them in the midst of the BMW pack rolling through the 30mph twisties at 60 plus. I have yet to find a heavy weight Vtwin tourer that handles as well as the VV in the twisties when pushed. ME Likes the Twisties...... |

I'm 6'5/ 265 and the Vision is the only bike I have been able to fit on comfortably, I had an 08 street that I bought new and that bike got me hooked, the only down fall was the lack of aftermarket parts at the time. I sold it for a road glide and I tricked it out, I recently picked up an 09 Ness Vision that I also love, the difference for me is the Glide is Like a hot rod and the Vision is like a Benz, super comfortable, smooth ride and perfect for the long hall. I never made it to a shark week although I am a member of that forum. If they ever have it at the Laughlin river run I'll be there for sure, kids keep me close to home these days. |

Who cares what folks say about the HD Roadglide. It is the best bike in the HD lineup as far as I'm concerned and the only HD with a frame-mounted front fairing. I too don't want to feel claustrophobic by having the front fairing right in my face. I ride my VV to work every day, which is about 40 miles round trip and the bike does fine in traffic and out on the open road as well, which sort of throws the whole rationale of owning a road glide out the window in my opinion. I personally like the sports touring platform, but my knees and ars no longer dig that riding position. The VV is one of the few motorcycles where you can log 700 miles/day consistently and get off the machine and feel absolutely fine. The VV is one of the best long-distance pack camels around, which is why I own one. |
