finally wore out. After 6 years and 4 months of sitting out in the weather (no garage available) and being used about a 'guzillion' times, the switch just gave up the ghost. My dealer sent a trailer over to my place to get it and the tech agreed that it was toast. Parts dept ordered replacement part to be shipped 'next day' (we'll see if that really happens) and it should be running again late tomorrow afternoon.

I explained to my dealer's general manager that since my truck had been stolen a couple of weeks ago the Vision is my primary mode of transportation. He and the service manager got their people to 'jump right on it' and I should be 'good to go' no later than Thursday. (I hope :-) ).

When it rains it pours....hang in there. Your dealer sounds great.

Got 'Black Cherry' back this AM. The replacement switch set for Tour model comes with new locks for the saddlebags and the trunk - so just 1 key for all those new locks. I got some 'new-key' LOL :-)

Mine broke last fall (I think I made a POST here about that) and my dealer was also great about this.

My AAA (BCAA) membership paid for all towing and all locks were changed to the new key under my 5 year extended warranty.
