question. IF I just do the rear's on an 08. I take from reading this that no flasher unit is needed for the 08, however without doing the fronts does that present a flash rate problem? or any other problems? my fronts are painted over except for a small custom shape for the turn signal. No leds needed

If you add any LEDs to the bike a flasher unit is normally required to stabilise the system but on your 08 you wont need one. I have done the fronts only naand not the rears (in the UK red indicators are illegal) I have a new flasher unit and there is no flasher rate problem. The new flasher unit is a straight swop (plug and play) but as stated the 08 doesn't need one

Can anyone point me to or provide a video of the rear tail lights with either turn signal activated and then pulsing either brake lever. I'd like to see all three functions operating together in some order.

Thanks jv.

So the outer border LEDs are the running lights. The inner LEDs on either side sequence as either turn signal is activated. Only one side is on solid when the brakes are applied and either turn signal is activated. Got it!

Once the parts back in stock, I will be doing this mod. I have already removed the light housings and split the lenses. I spent a lot of time removing the old siilcone in the housings, but watched the youtube video and he just puts a bead on top of the old stuff. I thought that silicone didn't stick to the old stuff. For those that did this mod, did you remove the old silicone?

I contacted MBW, and they recommend removing as much of the old sealant as possible.

I made my own led tail lights. To answer your questions. Yes mine chase in turn signal mode, and in flasher mode. The brake mode they BLINK FULL BRIGHT from very rapid to a slow steady to just on. Ref the silicone. I removed "as much as I could" on several tail light sections. After putting on new silicone you will be fine. It's not necessary to remove every last drop of the old. As much as possible is good enuff

So has anyone installed the Exledshop taillights? And do they work ok? I just don't like the running lights on the MBW.

Icemann, did you get your LED tail lights done? Can you post a video?

I had to remove the tint from the front signals, I couldn't see them during the day. Oh well, the rears are quite visible at all times.
