Can these speakers be installed on a 2008 Vision?

Not quite what he was looking for johnnyvision. He was wondering can the new Kicker speakers that they sell for the newer Visions fit an '08.

To answer your question TLane1911, yes they will. They are the same size as the stock speakers, but you will probably have to install an amp to get any real benefit from them as the older model radios don't have the power that the newer ones do. The newer radios also have better reception than our '08s, but I hardly listen to the radio; mostly my ipod.

Sorry I don't have the specs for the kickers in front of me but the cone diameter may be the same but I would guess the magnet size and cone depth aren't the same. If this is the case, you may want to consider removing the plastic OEM housing and replace them with acoustic foam baffles. This also improves the speaker acoustic tremendously.

i had a 08 vision and i have a 2011 vision. the 11 stereo/speaker were way better than 08.. no i DO have those kickers.. i installed them up front on my 11 and then put then in the back.. and i hear NO difference. at least compared to my 11 speakers.... maybe i do need a amp like someone else said. but i dont care enough for the hassle.. i was just expecting a world of difference.. and it wasnt there..

Did you try foam baffle cones? When I upgraded all 4 speakers with Polk Audio speakers and I didn't experience any acoustic improvements until I installed the baffles. they make a huge difference.

Street Eagle, the Kickers have the same mounting specs as the stock speakers. They have a little bigger magnet but not big enough to change out the enclosure. They're just more efficient and if anyone is interested the Kicker number is a PS5250. Kuryakyn has them on sale on Amazon for $135 with free shipping. I would definitely recommend an amp to get the full benefit of these.
+1 on the speaker baffles.
