I know some of you are looking to put LEDs into the rear lenses, so I got more data from autolumination.
They have many different options and don't really put what the differences are on the website, so I emailed them for some specs. Mainly how bright they are and what works better in our lenses.
The lumens they quote are as follows for the all red 3157 bulbs:

10 watt Eagle Eye 400/100
12 watt Eagle Eye 440/100
14 watt Eagle Eye 560/100
22 watt Eagle Eye 700/140
24 watt Cree 700/140
27 watt Osram 700/140
120 SMT Tower 400/100

http://autolumination.com/3157_3156.htm

I currently have the 10 watt Eagle Eye (the brightest at the time I purchased). It puts out slightly more light than a stock incandescent bulb. Without a light meter, I would say 50% more light, maybe more. Remember, that even though athe stock incandescent bulb is rated at 450/150 lumens, it is a white light that gets heavily filtered when going through the red lens. a red LED light does not lose intensity going through a red lens.

I have not tried the 24 or 27 watt bulbs out yet, but you may be able to run them in the turn signal locations without needing a load equalizer. You will still need a small resistor for the the brake circuit so that the cruise control will still function. It monitors the brake circuit looking for ground. If it can't find it, it disengages cruise control. LEDs are diodes and constitute a break in the brake circuit when the running lights are active. Something as small as one 25 ohm resistor (with heat sink) is enough to complete the circuit for cruise control to work. You will note when you buy a resistor with heat sink that it has a ohm rating and a wattage rating. The wattage rating is for the heat sink, letting you know how many watts of heat it can dissipate. A 25 ohm resistor on a 12 volt system generates about 6 watts of heat (V*V/R).

Autolumination recommends the 22 watt or the 27 watt LEDs for our bike lens configuration. They also mentioned thay are coming out with a 50 watt light next week.

If we wanted to order in bulk, they would drop the price 27.5% (orders over $500).

Just to add some info to Nozzledog's post (and thanks for the informative post) I tried the 120 SMT that I have in my lower brake lights now in the rear turn and it gave me the fast flash. Installed the load equalizer and no problems of course. I am running the 120SMT Tower now in the lower brake lights since I was trying the 48 SMT's at 10 bucks less just to see if it made any significant difference. Mistake trying the 48's. Brighter than stock but nothing like the 120's. The 120s fill the whole lens cavity with a really cool appearance and blast BRAKE at night and day. Had several comments from other bikes that have ridden behind me before. I thought about the eagle eye's but did not want the larger eye appearance through the lens so no comment there. My middle brake and turn are the 48SMTs and I am going to upgrade those to 120's so may jump in on a bulk order for 4 120 SMT's.
