So while changing out the bars on my bike I had to re-route the clutch hose. In doing so I lost all pressure to the clutch lever. Would it be safe to ride to the shop down the road about 5miles in a straight line or just trailer it or have it towed. Id bleed the line my self but I also want him to add the extensions to the hoses that came with the handlebar kit

It's only 5 miles...I'd trailer it as Murphy Law is always present

No brainer trailor it. A VV is a big bike to try to handle any where any distance without a working clutch, period.

Trailer, I've always agreed with O'Tooles Commentary, 'Murphy was a F#*&+!^ optomist'. Y'allhaul (for those in the South who move themselves) has a purpose built bike trailer that's pretty cheap by the day.

Probably just need to bleed the line. It's easy to do. I guess I don't understand-Your either DIY it or let the shop do it- not do half yourself and then trailer it to the shop? I'm not a slow mechanic & I'm not fast either-I'm half fast.

bleed the master cylinder. Pull the line put finger over where the bolt goes. Squeeze lever fluid will push your finger off. Hold lever down hook up line should be good to go

I would bleed it myself but I need them extended to feel safer when riding it

Put a rag on the lower clutch lever and then clamp Vise-Grips to the lever. Shift using the Vise-Grips. It's been done before.

The line pretty much bleeds itself, being at the highest point. I say replace the line and then just sit and pump the handle till no more air bubbles are coming up through the reservoir, and when you achieve no more air bubbles, and pressure on the handle. You my friend are done. If you can tackle putting bars on, this one should be a no brainer.
