I'm looking at a Utopia drivers backrest but the pad looks a little large. Bob at Utopia said he can make a different sized pad. Does anyone have the Victory backrest and what size is the pad. Thanks Roger

I can't comment on the OEM backrest but the Utopia backrest is a no brainer. It could be the best money I've spent on the Vision. I thought it would be too tall, too, but it's not. It's just right.

I don't have an OL so I never ride 2 up. Unless your passenger has "large" legs, I don't think it would be an issue but I don't know for sure. You can move the Utopia backrest up about 1-2" so even if it was a little cramped for her (I'm just assuming it's a "her" ), it should be ok with the Utopia adjusted.

I installed the victory driver's backrest & bracket-didn't like the look of the utopia & price was a wash. It was not a drop in install on my '09s heated seat-had to do some carvin' on the seat pan to get everything to work but it came out nice & has held up well. My copilot likes the little bag to keep goodies in and it doesn't look like an add on.

Just installed a Utopia on my 2011 VV. It's larger than the factory Vic backrest but I don't think it's too large. Really comfortable. We ride 2 up a lot and wife says while it does take up space it's not in the way. The Utopia comes with a large pouch that is velcroed so it is easily removeable. The Utopia is multi-adjustable so you can get just the fit you like. The material matches the VV perfectly. Very well built and professionally done. No regrets.

I've been in contact with Bob at Utopia. I had one on my 08 Vision and did not remember it being so big. He said they've always been the same size so I guess I'll order the Utopia since we were happy with it. THanks Roger

The OEM is adjustable forward/back with a chrome knob and has several heights that it locks into also.

I can't say for the OEM but what I like about my utopia is that the recline is adjustable on the fly. Gives me the ability to sit up straight and supported or give myself a gangster lean.
