Hi all, i just bought a vision and only have 500 miles on it , a couple of questions; when the rpms are about 2700-2900 the exhaust sounds like it is comming from the engine compartmet or the front cowling area. its a poping sound... i tightened the header bolts no difference. also what is everyone doing about the heat from the right pipe? is there a company making headers or true duals to let the exhast out the tail pipes it sounds all bound up. i also feel a hesitation as i begin to turn the throttle can the throttle cable be tighted to reduce the slack so it is more instant response. i also have a road king so i dont really need loud pipes on this bike, but i want to open it up and let it breath it is all jammed up in the engine. please advise if you have any info. tnx, tom ca. usa

welcome tom;
the throttle is designed to open slowly via a snail shaped cam, exhaust could use a level 2 upgrade, I dont' find
the heat excessive but highway pegs may help.
good riding to you.

I think the hesitation is just the nature of the stock download, I had the hesitation up until I installed the VFC-08 which of course was installed after my Cycle Dragon pipes.

How do you like your Draggon Pipes?

I want to get some louder pipes and am just looking for feedback. I saw that they are "tunable."  I want some more sound out of my bike.  Any info would help.

Byrdman,

What pipes do you have now?

I like the pipes, they have a nice rumble, not real loud but now I can set off alarms, I was actually complemented on the sound by some Harley riding friends.
BTW, as far as tunability I don't doubt that they can approach obnoxiously loud by removing all the packing, I removed half.

I do have a fair (misses some of the low note) quality sound clip for anyone who is interested, just pm me your email address.

So, are you saying that you upgraded to the VFC instead of taking it in for a remap? It seems like a good idea to take that money and apply it towards the tuner. I was thinking of this at one point too. I bought the bike with the Stg.1 lvl.2 setup. Does that mean I'd have to buy stock pipes back for the heat sheilds if I went with the Dragons? I should have asked for the original take-offs before I left the dealership in the first place...

I am running the stage one pipes now, but want something more.

I saw a Vision in San Antonio last Saturday around 10:30 a.m. heading south on the freeway by Sea World (or Fiesta -- I get them mixed up) Was that you?

I was on my way to Bandera for a couple of days.

If it was Loop 1604 south around Culebra or Highway 90 around 1604, it could have been me. I was heading over to show off to my HD riding brother--who wasn't even there, had to settle for showing his wife!
