Just recived the my new american iron magazine and there is a article about the new victory Boardwalk. In the article it mentions that the primary is chain driven. Looks just like the same old 106 incher they put in every other bike. Did something change or just an oops on their part

Final drive is a belt. I believe the primary drive is gear driven. At least that is the way the parts book shows it... It's available online.

All Victory engines, from the very first V92 in 1999 to the Freedom 106 V-Twin of today have had geared primary drive. It is this system that causes much of the drive train noise we hear as we run through the gears and also much of the lash you feel when stopped. Even with the needed free play of the geared system it is a much better system than using a belt or chain for primary drive, ask any machinist who has run an older geared head engine lathe versus a newer belt driven one, the belt driven ones are smoother but can't take the same load as the gear driven lathes.
