I have owned at least 20 new bikes including 600cc sport bikes. And if there is one thing I HATE its listening to a inline 4 at 5k rpm for hrs on end running the hwy.
I am hooked on Vtwin power. Low RPM Vtwin power.

Out of all the Japanese bikes I owned the best was the Suzuki C90. That thing made max torque at 2300 rpm. A long stroke 1500cc bike that I had done up with a inner and outter fairing off a Electra Glide - it even looked like a Harleyy comming down the road.
Strange as it was no Harley guy would ever wave. They could smell the Japanese bike hiding behind that EG fairing...... WTF

Since I got the CCT - it seems every Harley guy waves - I am part of the American motor cycle crowd now and worthy of a wave.

Maybe the Harley crowd sees the light !!!!!!

Riding home last night I gave a spot to get on the freeway to a road glide, the rider took it since he was going to have to merge any way. But at the stoplight before the freeway he was looking at my bike like it was the new spacely sprockets model. The last I saw him I think he thought it was a space age rocket because one twist of the throttle and the vision was gone.

Funny you say that .... It reminds me when I took my xct over to PEI to visit my mother. I was stuck behind a Harley in a long line of traffic that was doing less than the speed limit..

I dont do less than the speed limit very well. after what seemed like forever I got a break in traffic comming the other way.. I was almost twice the Harleys speed when I went by him and 10 other cars.. That thing loves to rev. He did catch up at a red light and didnt wave. Prob thought I was a crazzzzzy person.....  What can I say ... Have power will use it....

Lets see....I have both a '09 Vision and a '05 Softail Deluxe. London, KY has an awesome HD dealer that understands customer service and they are extremely active in the community with charity rides staging almost every week. My newest Victory dealer is about 25 minutes away and they are GREAT to work with. I have always given the local HD riders grief and received in kind. When I traded a RSTD into the Deluxe....I told everyone that I found enough parts along side the freeway to build my own HD. I led a Celebrate Recovery ride today that had many vendor bikes and departure from Wildcat HD. I wore my very obvious Victory longsleeeve tshirt..then put a Wildcat HD sticker over the Victory logo in front.....I get free HD coffee that way. I told the riders that all they had to do was keep an eye on the Ice Blue Spacedship out in front. As described by an earlier post....ride what makes YOU happy and enjoy the Biker Comraderie that seems to be present in most communities. There will always be the snobs and idiots...we need them to see how far we are from that attitude! Shiny Side Up and Rollin' Side Down!!

Well said....
