| I just had my radio replaced with a new unit that was made before 2008...The reception is great. I had bad reception with my later built ( 01/08) original radio. Anyone that has bad or good radio reception....Please state so with the last 4 numbers of your vin. My reception was bad vin# 5202. |

So Cal | The dealer downloaded the latest software (4.13A) for the radio with negative results. Still had the mute problem. After reading a few posts here about cable issues I shot the ipod and cable with WD 40. Still had the mute issue. Got fed up and tossed the ipod in a drawer for 3 weeks-went back to XM. Hooked the ipod up about a month ago and everything works fine now. Not sure if discharging the battery helped or the WD 40 had a chance to work its way into the cable, but all has been well for a month now. |
