A buddy of mine has an 09 Ness Vision. Its a beautiful motorcycle, but the only down side is that the sound system isn't all that great. Is there an upgrade or do you have to go aftermarket to get a better quality sound?

Do a 'SEARCH' of the threads - type in "SPEAKER UPGRADES" - you will find more good information than you can read in a night. Many of us have upgraded and the results have been written about in detail. Have fun ....

Tons of questions can be answered while using the nifty search bar. After searching for a good bit without any avail then I'd post. I'm a noob too so don't take my words to heart. :P

The best, cleanest, easiest, but most expensive are Hawg Wired Amp and speakers. Don't do speakers without additional power, waste of $$$

After spending some time on here researching before building my Vision 8ball stereo from scratch, and deciding on all my separate components, I still have one question. A lot of the Cross Country guys seem to put 6.5 speakers in their front fairings using Hawgtunes adaptation ring to make them fit. Has anyone done this on a Vision?

Superswede, I don't think it can be done on a Vision. Cross bikes a fairing much like a Street Glide with bigger areas for bigger speakers. Haven't looked at HawgWired's site, but I have looked hard at customizing my own Vision speaker area and there is just not a lot you can do with the little area that is behind our speakers. If you take off the mirrors, there is more room there, but that's a whole new ball game.

Rise, click on the Articles tab up top of the home screen and it will tell you everything you want to know. I'm still planning on using the components listed there this fall. Great article!
