This is what i'm looking for in a quick detachable back rest. One that doesn't make you punch a hole or holes through your body work. One that slides into the rear of the seat like the drivers Utopia back rest but for the passenger. Why can't someone make this option? Check it out. I just don't want to pay $900 for a seat.
MSRP: $899.99

This Leather Seat With Driver Backrest delivers style, comfort and versatility.
It features comfortable seating for both the driver and passenger, and each seat has a slot that holds the easy install/easy remove backrest.
The driver backrest is included (passenger backrest sold separately).
The seat features Cool Leather, which doesn?t absorb heat from the sun?s rays the way traditional leather does, so the seat is cooler when you return to the bike parked in the sun.
This seat can be used on the Victory Vision Tour or the Victory Vision Street.

Drivers Seat Cool Leather

Manufacturer Part Number: 2876675

My 2009 Ness Vision has, like this seat pictured, 2 slots with internal brackets that hold the back rest.  There are two different part numbers for the back rests themselves as the bracket has a different angle for the driver than the passenger.

Do you think you could buy the passenger backrest and the bracket, will it fit under a stock seat pan? You would have to cut a slit into the rear of the seat though

I know I've seen the bracket for the drivers seat, but I don't know if it would also fit the rear.  Have fun researching.  Yes, you would have to cut the seat.

If it makes you feel better, you can negotiate with certain dealers to buy the seat for $740 shipped within the continental U.S. I have one and like it.

Hey Dreesq
Would you mind posting a picture of the backrest from the rear? Showing the bracket. And if you feel really ambitious a shot under the seat showing the bracket would be really, really great!!!
Anybody else wanna see those pictures? Give it up for Dreesq!

Where could a person get a bracket, if it is sold seperatley, that could be installed into the rear of an 8 ball seat?
I think that this could be easily done if the bracket was available. I guess another option would be to find a damaged seat and remove the bracket for the backrest. Do all Vision seats come with the slot for the driver's backrest?

Didn't get to it. Hopefully sometime tomorrow. I will say, however, that under the seat doesn't look any different than the stock 2011 seat that doesn't have the backrest slot. The mount for the passenger backrest is completely internal. I am certain of this because I am on my third seat. I had my stock 2011 ness seat, then had the 2009 stock ness seat, and now I have the above-pictured seat, part number 2876675. All three of them are the same in regards to the underside where thr passenger backrest would go (the 2011 seat didn't have a passenger backrest slot)

I think that's good news then I think. I have a 2011 Ness seat with the drivers back rest slot. I'm trying to figure out how the Passenger back rest fits into the rear of the seat. I've never even seen a decent picture of the above seat from the rear etc. Looking for a way to have a passenger back rest with out drilling or citting holes in the rear trunk cover plate. Thanks again.

Only the 2009 Ness seat has the passenger backrest slot along with the one seat in the accessories catalog. Only those two have the built in passenger slot. Works really well! I have a 2009 Ness seat on my 2011 Vision.

Ride safe,

Jim

I don't have a pic. The rear bracket that holds in the passenger backrest is inside the seat. So all the pic would show is a velcro tab at the back of the seat with a slot under it. You just slide the backrest in the slot and you're done. No cutting or trimming of any body work is required. When the girlfriend isn't riding, I just pull the backrest out and close the velcro tab. Wha-la, I'm back to my clean looking seat for solo riding. The only negative is you can't put a luggage rack on the back since the backrest just slides into the seat. However for easy on/off use, this set up can't be beat.

Ride safe,

Jim

I bought the '09 Ness seat for my '11 Vision with ABS....only problem is that the seat will not fit the ABS bikes without taking a saw to the seat and I wasn't about to do that....the accessory seat pictured in the first post of this thread doesn't fit the ABS bikes either. Yup....Vic always plans ahead. lol

I have a 2009 Ness seat on my 2011 Vision Tour w/ ABS right now. I just put it on the bike. I didn't cut anything.
