Makes me think of the original honda Valkyrie. Never understood why they stopped making it.

Wow, just the other day I was admiring a Valkyrie. I never understood why they dropped that model either. It's like a "sport" gold wing. I was thinking about trying to find one just to have that gorgeous ride in my Garage.

Like a lot of us I too have ridden the X Bikes. Rode them before I bought my Vision in fact. I bought the Vision and that says it all for me! Best big bike ride in existence today, bar none.

I had entertained at one time getting a Valkyrie, definetly before I knew what Victory was or before the Vision existed.  However, after sitting on it, I felt like I was sitting on an ox.  The guy who rode was a big fellow so it fit him well.  I was rather disappointed that it didn't fit me.  Sadly, it wasn't too long after that he nearly lost his life on the bike when he lost it in a curve.   He no longer rides...

It would be nice to see Victory put a little more emphasis on the Vision, or shine a different light on it.  It seems that they have a hard time on multi-marking the their bikes.

You know what is a shame is that the Vision's look is so polarizing that lots of people who don't know anything about it never realize how spectacular it is in handling, ride, comfort, wind control, etc. When most approach me to ask about it all they want to talk about is what it looks like and all I want to talk about are its attributes as a motorcycle. The Vision is probably one of if not the best all around performing big bikes available and hardly anybody knows it. I for one really hope that when Polaris finally fazes it out they don't totally give up on the fixed fairing genre altogether. My friend has a Cross Country Tour and I don't find it anywhere near the ride the Vision is. Besides, I've had his fairing and lowers off and the quality of the components are at a noticeably lower level than what makes up the Vision. There was some definite cost cutting in play when they developed the Cross bikes.

This rings true for me as well. I live in the Dallas area and I can't count the number of people that ask me what kind of bike my Vision is. I had one guy recently ask me if it was a kit bike. I find that most people like the look, I just wish Polaris would do a little more marketing before they give up on it, if thats their intention. The bike performs extremely well and is such a joy to ride. I looked at another HD and buying another Wing. Had I gone in that direction I'm sure I wouldn't have enjoyed either as much as the Vision.

I don't really care either, either way. It's not I'm feeling threatened either. I'm a long haul kind of guy and I run my machines until they wear out. In the event that my '08 wears out, I know there will be enough low mileagers out there that I could procure at a reasonable price in a few years, even if they don't make them past 2013. My point is, is how Ma Vic protrays the Vision in comparison to it's baby sister, the CCT as though she's the classier of the two.

We're saying the same thing. I think more people would ride the Vision if it was marketed more on its performance and less on its looks. That being said, if they decide to stop making it, I'll buy another one a year or so after the final production run.

Rode about every victory there is I'll stick with the vision. The bike suit me in about every way. The GL1800 spent over $5000 trying to get it to fit us never did, within the 1st. few miles we knew right away we like the visions the fit. THE GEORGE JETSON MOBILE.

The Vision is "King" but I do like having the TCD "Queen" as a way to break up my rides. Love them both but if one had to go the "bitch" would get the door.....

Had the SW victory meet this weekend lots of Visions and XC funny that some of the guys own both. I had more room than I needed with a KP tour. The VV tour was easier to pack mostly because we learned not to take so much crap with. Last long trip I took clothes that I never needed or wore. Less is better.

With the Vision ,I have never been asked "What Harley model is that......". Wonder if the X Bike riders ever get "What model of Harley is that?" I think the Vision handling is superb. While not a sportbike at 900 lbs. it certainly is nimble and have had my fair share of admiring sport riders for my ability to keep up.
