hi all, I have owned my vision for a little over a month now and I just love it, I have been painting the silver parts black and I'm needing help on removing the rear handles, I have the seat off, the plastic around the tail light off, and the latches off, I can't find out how to remove the nuts on the rear of the handle, any help would be great!

Looks like your almost done without my help but here you go.

After long study of the bike the following should be the easy way to do what you want.
I am guessing 1 hr total remove and install max.

OK to start, remove trunk (have friend help hold it if possible) and tail section like your going to change a rear lightbuld that is out.
the seat will be off already as you will need to unplug the rear bag light etc.
Now that trunk is off & rear plastic off, there is 1 allen bolt on each side in the trunk that holds the plastic surounding the grab handles take those out it is towards the rear.
There is a black 1/2 inch head bolt that is mounted to the large alluminum plate just in front of the lock plate it has to come out as well.

Now remove the 4 black 1/2 inch bolts holding the aluminum plate with the ECU on it the handles will come up with it in 1 big a** peace plastic and alluminum as one part.
now turn it over and remove handles.
OOPS undo any wires from plate first LOL.

Walla your done reverse for install.

If this can be done without removing the tail section I am not sure!! but from best I can tell it will have to be removed to get the parts off the bike.
Please let me know if it does not need to be removed in order to get handles off.

have fun nice to hear all the mods going on around the forum.
I will keep mine secret till there all done I want my bike to be mine not like someone else.

OOPS there is another bolt under the actual lock latch it is 1/2 head bolt like in front of the latch.
So that is a total of 8, 1/2 inch head bolts to remove. 2 inside each bag and 4 holding the alluminum plate to the frame.

thank you Bar Hopper, I did not have to take the aluminum panel all the way off, I could lift it up and get to the handle nuts, they are painted now and reinstalled. as soon as I figure out the picture sizing, I'll post them. thanks again!
