I don't know if anyone answered you, but no, Your s wasn't the 2423rd of the line. Visions are built on the same line as all of the other models and they don't start a new series of serial numbers every year. I was there when we built the first one on the line, but sorry to say I don't remember the serial number. (I'll dig it up later). There is no serial number 000001 Vision.

D - Type (B-Standard, C-Custom, D-Deluxe/Tour, S-Sport)
3 - Engine Size (1-1507cc, 2-1634cc, 3-1737cc)
6 - Engine HP (78-94)
D - Series (C-Canada, D-Domestic, L-California, U-United Kingdom)
0 - Check Digit
8 - Model Year
2 - Plant Code
004280 - Sequential number assigned
Victory will have only produced about 10000 units in total for all models so the last four digits should cover the numbers for this year.
All motorcycles are produced in a mixed manufacturing environment. Any model of bike maybe on the line at any time so the numbers for Visions will not be in order - I guess there could be exceptions.

This IS a puzzle alright. Since mine was built in May of 07 and has a VIN on 8503. Mine came way before everyone else's, yet it has a higher number than every one else's. It kind of goes against all logic. |

Memphis | The three digit numbers would appear to be the earliest but I'm thinking that Rainmaker may have an '07 1/2 on his hands since it was built in May of last year. Notice that Arkinzeye's bike was built April of this year.

LaPorte,Tx. | Pollolittle and Songfan, and others. When I took delievery of my Vision, there was a single paper in the packet that held the manual which showed what I believe is the build date. You may still have it on the bike. I believe there were early Visions built because they were ordered special for certain dealers as a favor, or promotion. That may explain the very early S/N. I can only say this in knowing and seeing a Black Tour Premium with factory chrome forks we didn't get, it was at a dealer even before he had bikes to sell. |
