Follow up on previous good experience;

To be clear, they are not happy about warranty replacements. I got quite an attitude like they were doing me a huge favor by replacing an amp that was junk right out of the box. Beware if you get it like everyone else in the world on the internet for half of the suggested retail price ($275 msrp). They really dont like that! I cant imagine paying more than $150 for this amp.
Over the years i have purchased at least 15 rockford amps, but I have purchased my very last Rockford amp.
Good luck!

Not to be rude. But if you are asking this please take it to someone that knows what they are doing. It will save you alot of money, trouble and headaches. There are so many things that can and will go wrong if you are dealing with electronics that you do not know how to properly install. Sorry.

I printed the first post out with the wire colors. Very helpful, thank you. FYI, no changes on the 2013.

I think I'll go with the Alpine rather than the Fosgate...would prefer the left tank placement over the side box tho...

No, but is sounds WAY better than stock. Just don't expect TOO much from 4.5" speakers...

Yep, solid install, I finally followed suit and did the left saddlebag with an Alpine
PDX-F4 and it rocks. I used some wet dry vac filter in front of the fan on the outside to help with dust.
I also fit 6.5s in the front.
I was curious if you vented the top of the box or added a second fan for exhaust?

Thanks!

Ditch, My fan blows out of the bag area. I cut a small section of the rubber trim seal at the bottom of the bag to pull air through. No water or diust comes in.

SOUND CANCELS OUT AT VOLUME 11 or more while bick is moving just ideling it goes all the way up. I have used 2 differnt AMPS but when my volume is turned up past 11 on both the sound cancels out while playing the radio or my phone or ipod and I have to turn in down or even sometimes have to turn it off for a few minutes The first one after a while one of the the wireing would short out it was a yellow wire and have to be replaced wireing harness that comes with the amp so I got a upgraded AMP the AMP i have now ALPINE MRV 5300 min 75 watts per chan 120 Max about 500 total

I hate to ask a dumb question but, I will....
What are the ratings on the speakers?
Also, have you checked resistantance on each speaker? A lot of times the support for the speaker terminals will break and or the crossover wiring on the speaker will short out. Check your resistantance with an ibm meter. Hope that helps...

I have been told that a Capacitor would take care of it my storing power so that the amp doesnt need to draw power from the battery all the time
