Hey Bubba! Welcome aboard. Does your presence here perhaps indicate a Vision in the family sometime soon? Already? Maybe?

One day my buddy says youve become an oldtimer a regular graybeard
I would say more salt and pepper than gray especially since I shaved my full beard to a goatee and got rid of half the gray

This one has been quite a while, but thought I would resurrect it from the dead (halloween pun)! I always enjoy reading how folks come up with their names. This may also be what "donetracey" was after! We'll see!

I have a had a habit all of my life of naming my vehicles.......in the normal course of an adult life that wouldn't be all that many...however after 35 years years in law enforcement (now retired) I've had many vehicle assigned to me (was assigned to DEA for eleven years, was always switching vehicles) and when I test drove the Vision Ii knew I would be buying it and I needed a name. I took it to the local HOG club monthly meeting and everyone actually complimented the Vision but their response was ...it looks like a starship...................so it was tagged.......................STARSHIP 1.

And the crowning point was when I was able to get the license plate....STRSHP.

Nice, I like the fact you took it to a HOG club meeting. The alien has landed. I like the name Enterprise Jr. but I haven't found a name for mine yet and I'm starting to feel ashamed. I shall try to remedy that problem.

Minnow is my boardname. Nickname since I was a kid. I would take care of th minnows in the garage for our family fishing expeditions down on the Black River. I'd keep them in the shade and the coolest place in the garage I could fnd. My older sister would time after fukin time set them in the sun resulting in their death. I would get very angry but couldn't do anything about it cuz she was so much bigger than me. The whole minnow thing led to her calling me Minnow Man. Eventually over time I would simply answer to Minnow. I still do.

Well now, now that your much bigger than then have we repaid the favor. I thought the name might have something to do with fishing, or it was an Italian name for taking care of the small fish.

No, she eventually married someone a lot bigger than me (personal body gaurd) and found a Higher Power , probably to protect herself from her past unforgiven misdeeds.

Now that is the coolest job on the boards! I love magic shows. And I love knowing how it all works. The best thing for me is that knowing how it works doesn't spoil it all for me. I still admire how they are able to pull off the illusion. I once got to hob-nob at the Magic Castle with a bunch of professional magicians. It was like being in heaven that night.

Minnow, it is a shame to have not repaid a small portion of that to her. But that is why we have psychiatrists and drugs.

My handle was actually pinned on me in 1998 by an elderly black gentleman I had the good fortune to work with. I was newly divorced and some of the guys I worked with were teasing me about my newly found freedom to date and carry on. He said to me "I'll bet you are a real Savage with the ladies" and the name just stuck!

Mine was given to me back in the early seventys when i started ridin hardtail bikes.(Harleys) At that time anyone that rode them bike were called bikertrash. A couple of buds pinned it on me and i just added the three sixes.
Good enought for the harleys should be good enough for my vision.

Nothing fancy here I guess. My name is Marc (with a C), which is why I spell sharc with a c instead of a k. I used to be be msharc, for Marc the sharc, but that was taken one time getting an email address. I'm a SCUBA instructor and I always seemed to be able to find the cool sharks while living and diving in the caribbean, so I was Marc the Shark. Divesharc was just a mashing of the two and was available.

In a true biker tribute, hats, excuse me, helmets off to you sir. I respect you as an early seventys and hardtail rider. I started mine in the mid-80's and on a honda CB750 no less. Good bike, a lot of riding on that girl, all I had to ride; rain, shine or cold. Sold her after a couple of years and didn't ride again until twenty-four years later. Hardtail, me that is, so I need a soft seat with a smooth ride. Glad to see I ride what the old schooler rides.

Seems like my friends take my name and teasingly/intentionally miss-pronounced it...."what's your name, Lance...Dan....Vince...etc." Lady in the office just started calling me Vinner and it stuck...with that group at least. Years ago when populated with hair and in school I was..."Dr. Vinney Boom Bah"....Thanks to a Halloween costume and the Doctor Rodney Dangerfield use to go to.
