JM, Welcome to the forum and to the Vision family. My suggestion would be to get to know a local dealer and those actively involved with this forum in your area. I'm sure there is a dealer that has a demo bike that could answer your questions. My impression is you'll find Victory dealers provide very good customer service.

I am 6'3" and use the stock windshield and do about 80% of my riding on the Interstate. Even in heavy traffic I don't notice much in the way of head buffeting. You will get some when in the "wash" behind a semi, but it's still bearable and of course you can move out of that. Like so many others I think once you have test ridden a vision for a few miles you won't want anything else.

Good luck and ride safe!

CeeBaileys +4 Windshield is all you need and creates a very quite pocket olf air.

6'5" 210 lbs, 36" inseam. Best bike that ever fit me.
I started out with the 2" shorter bars, that are also 1" higher, I took them off as I couldn't get comfortable and my back was bothering me. I'm back to stock and much happier, although you could push you way through corners better with the shorter bar, it changes your stance on the bike

Were you able to use the original cable set with the 2" shorter bars?

I'm 6'2" and now I feel short with these guys. I just bought a vision and am moving up from a venture. Love my venture but she's very top heavy and the queen get a lot of beating around by the wind in the back even with the tallest shield I could find for the venture. I am going to ride 6 hrs Monday to do the trade so this should tell me how much I like the bike. I like both bikes and both are great bikes but the vision is more updated and roomy. Only bad thing is I'm giving up my tape deck for heated seats haha. Go ride one but be prepared to get one!

Hola, I love the bike. 6'6 230 with 36 inseam and 38 inch arms.

I love what I have and would recommend.

Arlen Ness Mini Ape Bars
Taller Windshield-Victory
AZ victory HW peg adapters along with Kurayakn pegs and 2 inch extenders
Back Rest

You should be set from there. The bars give you alot more room with legs and comfort and not really that tall for us tall guys.. My shoulders are still above the bars..

Best of luck..You will love the bike..

Hey folks, 6-4, 270, with a 32 inseam, I really enjoy the bike and it comfort. Have not done a ride no more than 300 miles so far with it but it was more comfortable than the BMW LT that I previously owned.. Planning to go to Americade in June so that will tell the tale for me.. All is stock so far, the only thing I might change is the seat, we will see.

I love the bikes layout. 6'2" 220. The only thing I've changed are the bars. Went with the 2 inch shorter. If I could find some highway pegs I actually like I would add those too, but I can still stretch out.

I think my dealer used my original cables. Either that or he gave me new ones and I kinda doubt that.

6-9 and 270 lbs. here. Most comfortable bike on the planet for me and made a little nicer with Arizona Vic forward peg mounts and Kury Iso pegs. I have no reason to get a taller windshield; the wind just catches the top of my helmet, and I find minimal buffeting. Close to 25K worry free miles! I just don't think any bike compares to my TP for fit, comfort, handling, power and eye appeal. Love it!

I'm 6'6" and 275 and this is the only bike I would ride. I test drove the Harley Ultra and the Goldwing and there was no comparison. Those bikes made me feel boxed in and crunched. I test rode the Vision and it was over. I did put on the tall windshield which works...I could of used two or three more inches. I also added some extended footrest that are chromed with a big "V" in the middle that are custom made I believe in Utah and they work like a champ. You will not be disappointed with the Vision.

I'm 6'4, 225 and looking to purchase a Victory Vision Tour. I have done a short test ride but am curious on long treks how tall riders fare? Any inputs welcome. New to forum. Thanks.

This is my 18th motorcycle, I have had faster, better looking, more expensive, less expensive, ect.... NEVER have I had a bike that was more comfortable. I live in the northern part of Michigan and picked my bike up in Lakeland Florida. The ride back was the greatest long haul I have ever had on a bike. Mainly because of the comfort factor. I'm 6'4" tall 250 lbs. Just get it, you won't be sorry,, Matt

I am 6-07 and 250 lbs, that's why I bought the Vision. I put the 2 inch shorter handle bars on it and it fits me well. Mine happens to be for sale.

Another tall rider. 6'7 280 and I can't imagine riding 500 miles on any other motorcycle. See my modifications on signature line. One piece of advice. Don't buy highway pegs unless you have taken several long rides. Honestly, even though I have them, I usually just put my Heels on the tip-over bars and stretch my 38" inseam straight out.

The best thing about Vision engineering is the floorboards. During a long day trip I find my normal knee bend at approx. 90 degrees. However, every 15-20 minutes I ride with either my legs straight ( heals on tip-overs ) or feet slid back to the rear of the boards (think Concourse 14 ST position ) which relieves any back pain. Bottom line: I bought a first year model Vision based on a long search for the best bike for a tall rider. Now my HD/GW riding friends hate riding with me because I don't need to stop every hour like they do.

Get one and you will be amazed

You do not have to change the cables with the 2 inch shorter Ness bars.

hahahaha... If you ever come out to Oz, Easttexas, you'll be able to borrow my Vision. it's a 2011, but has exactly the same setup with the exception of the chrome trim. I've got the Jurock +4 screen though, and the forward bars. +1 on the highway pegs scenario...Great fit, eh

Welcome to the forum !

6'3"- 235#

I concur with most folks, you will have no issues having enough room on a Vision. for me, I don't need foot pegs as I can use the chrome wedges in front of the floorboards. The Boards are huge, plenty of room to move your foot to find a comfortable spot.

I have done many 400+ plus days without issue.

Good Luck !

Also 6'7" tall and 260, I rode Harleys for 30 years but not before I added forward controls, risers, corbin seats, and raked the front end on many in order to get the highwaypegs out far enough. I Rode a vision in 2009 and never looked back!. I did not have the change anything and the ride is fantastic. I am looking into adding the tall windsheild just to help with the buffering my wife deals with.

ONLY 6'2" 220 lbs. Very comfortable. I did put a backrest on it and the tallest windshield Victory has for the Vision which is perfect for me: see over when down and thru it when up. Low speeds are NOT a handling issue.

JMinette - 2010-03-29 11:38 AM Hi Guys, Victory Noob here... I've got a Harley Road Glide right now and am considering a Vision. I am 6'6" and the only touring bike from HD that I felt comfortable on was the Road Glide. I went to a local Victory dealer Saturday and fell in love with the Vision. It is really setup well for the tall rider. With my RG I feel cramped after 2 or 3 hours and just have to get off, I doubt this will be the case with the Vision. So I'm starting my research on the purchase of a Vision. My main gripe with the Road Glide is helmet buffeting once I get above 45 mph or so. I've got the tall windshield installed but my full face helmet still shakes quite a bit and it's very frustrating. Can you tall riders talk a little bit about buffeting specifically? I really don't want to get into another bike unless I can get this problem worked out. I have not ridden the Vision yet but my fear is that I'll need an extra tall windscreen, and where can I test a bike with one of those already installed? Thanks guys, I appreciate your help in advance... John M. The Colony, TX

The electrically adjustable windscreen is all I need to adjust for head buffeting.

I'm 6'4" and prefer to look over the top of the windscreen rather than through it.

I don't mean to HiJack the thread but I'm 6'7" with a 38" inseam and 300 pounds. I have a Cross Country and it fits better than any other brand stock bike but I've never had a chance to ride a Vision. Has any of the other tall guys out there compared the Vision to the XC from a tall guy fit stand point?
